They switched over to the Shopify platform awhile back so there wouldn’t be issues.

Re: Thread for BF Cult, Genre and/or Non-Region A Blu-Rays

Not to spam the thread but Dark Forces is up, free shipping at $50 this year (not a lot to choose from)

https://darkforcesuperstore.com

Also Epic Pictures is up:

https://epic-pictures.com/store-dvd-blu-ray

Similarly less to choose from than in the past but also free shipping at $50.

On Epic:

Recommend: Butt Boy, Uncle Peckerhead, To Hell And Back: The Kane Holder Story

Soft Recommend: Benny Loves You, Book Of Monsters, The Golem, Vlad The Vampire (On A Double Feature with Zombiology)

Recommend Against: Redcon-1, Slay Belles

Thanks for the heads-up on Dark Force. Hardly a spam post! I was racking my brain last night trying to figure out which retailer I was forgetting, and it was them. Their "not a lot to choose from" contained a lot of stuff I've been waiting to get discounted (particularly STINGRAY, which has almost never been on sale, and frankly still isn't a huge discount, but it's something). I enjoy their Drive-In line as well, though some of those have been regrettable so getting them on sale is practically a must). Picked up 13 titles, which pretty much finishes off Dark Force for me, for a while anyway. They definitely add existing titles back to the site for their Black Friday sales, often in decent quantities, while seemingly holding them back the rest of the year. Makes me wonder about their strategy, but can't really complain.

That ZOMBIOLOGY + VLAD Blu-ray is on sale for $9.99 in Grindhouse Video's 'Black November' sale. I'd also recommend it for ZOMBIOLOGY, which can be amusing for those who enjoy Hong Kong culture and cinema, and want something that's not a re-re-re-lease of the same old golden era classics. Not sure if other Epic titles are mixed in the Grindhouse sale, but could be worth checking since Epic's prices aren't particularly low.

Flicker Alley's code is available: NOV2022. Discount is off all advertised site prices, too, not MSRP.

No problem, also it should be noted that the epic prices won’t show up until you enter that code in the cart.

Flicker has some great stuff, but even with 25% (& only 20% for mods!!) they're way to pricy. Hamilton recently had all their Mary Pickfords for $15.

In fairness, Hamilton seemed to have only those Pickfords. Much as I wish FA stuff would be discounted more steeply as it ages, it seems these sales are about as good as it gets, for the most part.

and IIRC,VCI had those two Pickfords for $8.99 last Christmas (after a brief spell of OOP status assigned to those two titles)

Many of the Severin 4K titles in their BF sale are part of the Amazon b2g1f promotion, making them cheaper at Amazon.

Yes, that's what I paid for Flicker Alley's Little Annie Rooney at VCI last November. Quite a deal. The vcientertainment.com website still shows that one and Flicker Alley's Fanchon the Cricket in stock, as well as the more recent Sparrows restoration which I don't believe Flicker Alley was involved in. However they are all currently priced at $20.96 (same price as VCI's recent blu of Rain, which I'm hoping for a better price on at some point).

I went with 7 titles. One of the titles was sold out on BD, so went with SD to complete the set. It was Nemesis 2, 3, 4 pack.

Does anyone have any experience with MVD's shipping turnaround time in the USA?

I may have got mine at VCI also.

Wonder how that works out against their overseas shipping, which usually prevents me from ordering from their site.

It's free at £100 (after discount). If you've been waiting on buying stuff could work out in your favor. It works on pre-orders too, though nothing will ship until that last item is available.
Or maybe pool an order with someone else in CA.

Seems to be a lot of interest, so thought I would point out VCI has Sparrows for $12. The older releases are also on sale for that price.
