Hopefully they’ll fix that. No shipping charge here, and I went above the threshold as well. Too many low-quantity and OOP titles to procrastinate! I missed their other recent sales and probably can’t complete the Drive-In series now, sadly. Got the four available here (#9, 11, 12 and 13), plus 1-7 in a bundle ages ago, but now have to hope #8 and #10 turn up some day.

Also got:

Cheering Section / King Frat DVD
Maria’s Kung Fu Mayhem DVD

Blus
Nurse Sherri (Vin Syn OOP)
Teenage Hitchhikers
Revenge Of The Bushido Blade
Yeti
The Young Cycle Girls
Treasure of Jamaica Reef
Forced Entry
Fangs - Pre-order

Where did you quote that $50 threshold from?

They mentioned it in recent Facebook posts, which seems to be the only place they announce things, and I cut/pasted it. Maybe check there before so you can point it out to them in your message.

EDIT: scratch that. Just noticed an early post mentioned $50, but a later one (had to click “more” to see it) upped it to $100. Sneaky. ☹️

Well shit, EBOLA SYNDROME! Vinegar Syndrome goes Hong Kong. Glad to see another label joining the club. 👍 And plentiful new contributions from director Herman Yau! Now that many of the kinds of genre films he’s known for are probably forbidden in Hong Kong, he could have a solid career doing interviews and for all the great stuff he made back in the day.

Got about $200 in my cart at VS. Nothing is below 1,000 units yet so I haven’t pulled the trigger. Got about $150 at MVD and I’m waiting on Severin to see how much that will be.

I assume that trailer went up recently? Didn't realize they were teasing the 'secret' titles early! (presumably too early to run a spell check )

EDIT: Just checked it out. Looks like it went live when the sale started.

Same deal with trailers for all of the new releases. Clearly were in a rush :-)

Sitting around $200 as well. Just checked the EBOLA SYNDROME slipcover count and it briefly showed 7,764 copies remaining (back to "more than 1000" now). Either that's a glitch, or they're ridiculously confident in that title. I mean, it's a classic, but I just can't see that many people needing it.

There is some... interesting stuff over at https://makeflix.com for those still waiting on Severin, I guess I'll try them again in the morning.

Definitely some cool stuff there, and a much smoother website than Severin's (although the content is a lot further down the food chain! )

Got my order at Severin Films in this morning.

It's been a while since I ordered from them, due to the website debacles, so I was catching up on quite a few titles.

Ordered

Absurd (BD)
All The Colors of The Dark (BD)
Cathy's Curse (BD)
Death Warmed Up (BD)
Killer Crocodile 1 & 2 (BD)
Next of Kin (BD)
Shocking Dark (BD)
The Survivor (BD)

I noticed that a lot of Arrow titles at Grindhouse Video marked at $20, were $15 at Arrow's site.

Reminds me of the recent Arrow sale at Barnes & Noble, too, where folks were pleased with all the $20 prices, until they were directed to Arrow's concurrent sale with the same titles at $15. I'm sure B&N, Grindhouse and UV can make a little extra in those margins from buyers who don't comparison shop, so there's that.

Severin Films posted an apology on their Social Media accounts regarding the issues with their site.

They mentioned that anyone who placed an order or will place an order will be getting a $20 gift code when your order is processed for shipping.

Quick reminder that Flicker Alley's Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales are active. Their original email suggested two separate sales, but everything appears to be on sale now. Typical FA (over-) pricing, but not everything in their catalog ends up at Hamilton Books or VCI.

FLICKER ALLEY'S SALE IS NOW LIVE!
Take 20% off Flicker Alley publications!

Simply use the code
FLICKERFRIDAY2021
upon checkout.

*Pre-orders and MOD titles excluded
*Shipments will be sent the week of 11/29/21

Act fast! Sale ends Monday, November 29 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

Someone early wondered if the discount would be off the SRP or the already discounted price, and it appears to be the latter. I ordered the three most recent noirs – THE BEAST MUST DIE, THE BITTER STEMS and TRAPPED. Each is $35 (SRP $40). Discount on each was $7.00, or 20%. Still pricey, but I haven't seen any of the noirs turn up at discount sites yet (unlike, say, the Mary Pickford titles).

For Arrow's sale, not everything that is on-sale is in the link I posted above.

If you go through the site's catalog of titles, you'll see more that are on-sale.

I picked up the poverty row set. It was very pricey still at $35 delivered, but regular price is $50 + shipping. The odd thing is:
they listed it as an OCTOBER preorder, & still had the $10 discount off list; and they gave me the BF 15% discount. I would like to know if it's been released!
