The code is definitely dead now. I placed an order and the code was showing valid the entire time in my cart. I hit "place order" and then it jumped from $27 to $52. I canceled the order since it messed up and tried the code again and obviously it would not work because I had technically now placed a "prior" order.

The thing that irritates me is that the code was valid the entire time until I hit "place order." If I had not checked my email, they would have charged me $52 without me realizing it until I got my bill. I called customer service and the rep said that the code was good until 11-30 or "while supplies last." My guess is they were getting hit pretty hard and canceled the code since it is nowhere near the 30th. Anyway, the rep offered me 20% off and I balked of course. I didn't care that the code was canceled but I did care that that it worked the entire way through the process until I actually placed the order. That is borderline fraudulent if you ask me.

Anyway, spoke with a supervisor and they fixed it for me. Excellent and fast customer service so I will hand it to them on that (though I did have to go to a supervisor to get it taken care of).

So a warning to anyone still trying to use the code and it is your first time. She said that it will show the whole way through but then not give it to you once you place the order since the code is canceled. She said that is just the way their system works (which is crazy since it will make lots of people angry thinking they are getting charged a certain amount and then getting charged the regular amount).

You may or may not run into this. I may have just hit it right when they canceled the code and it was still not showing in the system as expired when I placed my order. I have no idea. the rep did say that they just canceled the code this morning.

Stupid me - Figured the expires 11/30 part was legit and planned to wait until I was done with other offers at other sites to decide what I would score.

On a barely-related note, I tried to get cable internet access yesterday and discovered that the promotional rate I had been trying to obtain online was "suddenly" no longer available. A chat with their online rep offered no help, with an admonition that deals can change at any time.

Perhaps that was fresh on my mind when I got my order placed at 3 a.m. I considered going to bed and returning to it, but glad I put it through.

Sorry for those that missed out. Perhaps a call can help. Is the 20% code mentioned earlier still active? It can be as good, if not better if you're making a substantial order.

Could be if a item was to go on some super sale. But short of that substantial is going to have to be real substantial to reach near 50% off.

Exactly. That was my argument with the cs rep when she was trying to push me to the 20% offer instead of giving me the 25 off 50.

I have not. You should be able to delete that code and enter NEWTOJET.

EDIT: Now I see your problem. I was about to checkout and the price want back up. So I guess the JETCOMSAVE2 really doesn't work.

Yeah I knew I should have ordered something. Oh well, as you know, you wait a day, it's gone no matter what the expiration says. :lol:

NEWTOJET does work, however (but $5 less).

My plan was to wait a couple of days in order to see if some of the items I wanted were going to be cheaper somewhere else. :doh:

I decided to place an order with NEWTOJET. Hopefully there will be no additional problems.

I got my order in today; the return address label listed Deep Discount as the originator. I got the Criterion Blus of Lord of the Flies and Insomnia, and the Scream Factory Phantom of the Paradise, all for $33.81. Woo-hoo!

Well they canceled the Iron Man 3 3D part of my order but it is still in stock on the site so I complained and the cs rep gave me a credit to rebuy it at the same coupons price. So my new total is $19.63 (somehow).

I did it, but not by choice. I had changed my email address and there was no way to update the email address on an account so I had to create a new one. And I had no issues using the 20% coupon again on my new account (for a $50 discount on a new monitor).

They've locked accounts after the fact from what I heard. I would guess using a different credit card would qualify, I don't know.

Thanks for the tip. They canceled two out of three movies in my order, and I saw they were still listing those movies as in stock. I e-mailed them to complain, and I got a response within 30 minutes. They added store credit to make up for the portion of the coupon I lost on my canceled orders.

They told me I could reorder those movies, but only if I ordered two of each. WTF? That's not indicated anywhere on their site, and why would people be ordering multiples of the same movie? I really don't understand their business model. Regardless, I ordered two copies of Big Hero 6 on blu-ray essentially at half price, so I'll have to eBay one of the copies... assuming they don't cancel this order too.
