EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

entertainmentaidsalliance.net

From Twilight time facebook page
We encourage all of you good TT aficionados to take part in this very worthy cause for the holidays....
Founded in 1989 in response to the AIDS crisis, Entertainment AIDS Alliance has dedicated itself to funding research, treatment services and prevention programs for HIV and AIDS. Our annual Home Entertainment Sale is one of our key fundraisers. Each year, Hollywood’s biggest studios donate Blu-rays and DVDs of some of their most popular titles, which we sell to a select group at deep discounts. This year, we’re giving Twilight Time fans the opportunity to take part in this important cause. Enter Twilight Time as your company and twilight as your password.

I noticed they charge processing and shipping fees but some deals are worth it.
Vincent Price collection 2 blu is 35$
Godzilla 3d blu is 8$
You're Next Blu 3$
Frankenweenie blu 5$
some criterions blu are 5 dollars - Babettes Feast Blu, Summer Interlude Blu, Eating Raol Blu, Weekend Blu
WKRP complete dvd 50 dollars
barney miller complete dvd 45 dollars
free item with 50 dollar purchase.
In ordering instructions it seems to say need by 2 regular priced items, but not sure which these are. They may be Jurassic world or mad max or few others. I placed an order before I read this. So I will have to see what happens.

According to the page, you need to be an employee of one of these companies to participate.

That is, unless I'm missing something.

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

Some good stuff here. The shipping kind of kills some of the other things that aren't Criterion. But if you buy enough it makes it worth while. I also was offered a free DVD during checkout. I got 11 items + the free DVD.

Babette's Feast (The Criterion Collection) 5.00 1
The Divergent Series: Insurgent (Blu-ray + Digital HD) 8.00 1
Life of Crime (Blu-Ray + Digital HD) 4.00 1
Mad Men: The Final Season Part 2 (Blu-ray + Digital HD) 9.00 1
Vacation (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD) 8.00 1
Weekend (The Criterion Collection) 5.00 1
Le Beau Serge (The Criterion Collection) 4.00 1
Paper Towns (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD) 9.00 1
Philomena (Blu-ray + Digital HD) 3.00 1
Dark Places (Blu-ray + Digital HD) 8.00 1
Tomorrowland (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD) 9.00 1
The Odd Life of Timothy Green 0.00 1

Pick up The Naked City - Complete Series - $25.00
Peanuts - Emmy Collection - $10.00

Total was $45.80 with shipping. Got some Christmas shopping out of the way!

Would have been $84.68 on Amazon

Thanks OP

Shipping and Handling + CA Sales Tax came up to $20 :-)....rarely do you see a value proposition in that but in this case, there sure is, in addition to the cause !!

These might be drop shipped from some distributor's excess inventory - I hope they are able to handle so many orders.

I ended up over $100 b/c I got the WKRP set, and my shipping stayed at $12.50 so I guess it gets better (depending on location) if you spend more.

Thanks for the info, g!

I picked up four Criterion Blu-rays and another two Blu-rays for $36.50. You can't beat that with even a VERY large stick.

Anyone else have troubles with the site? I have been trying it sporadically throughout the day, and the connection keeps timing out.

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

The products were donated. If you look at the rest of their site, you can see that it looks in order. They are having an industry benefit where basic tickets are 500$ for admission. Steve Carell is pictured giving an award to steve tisch.
http://www.entertainmentaidsalliance...ionary-awards/

There was something in the ordering instructions about buying two regular priced items. I didn't see it until after I ordered. Maybe talking about the few products on the main page like southpaw and pixels.
