EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others
Saw Ray Donovan, but it was only S3 and no S1 or S2. Nothing much to worry about a password. Probably gonna pass because I think they charge a good amount of shipping if the total is under $50 or so.

I had 5 or 6 if we get a password, but I agree; this is no where as good as last year (at least so far).

I found the box from last year under the coffee table in the living room yesterday morning. Disks were still in the shipping box. People v. O.J. Simpson, White Christmas and two seasons of Girls. I'm really in no hurry for this sale to start....

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others
They've changed their website from www.entertainmentaidsalliance.net to eaabuzz.org, so if you're browsing the old site, I'm not sure anything is purchase-able from there, as that was the storefront from last year's sale. Has anyone been actually able to purchase titles recently from that site?
I would imagine the 2018 sale, whatever form that takes, will be hosted at the newer site.
I recently bought a set of five Shout Factory steelbooks via online bid during one of their events earlier this year. EAA emailed me shortly after and told me two of the titles had been stolen from the event. After three months (and multiple e-mails), I was told Shout Factory (to their credit) was going send out replacements, but it's now been another month since that, and I have to get them or to get a refund. I know they are a small crew, but that's a little ridiculous.
So, hopefully, this sale will go smoother than my recent experience has been.

EAA 2018 Media Sale
The site is up for preview, unfortunately we have to reconfigure the credit card reader to take your orders and have someone working on that right now. Currently, No orders will process.
Our intent was to start the sale tomorrow at Noon, but that launch is looking impossible at this time. Thank you for your patience, we will update as the site becomes operable. Currently we are aiming for Monday at Noon (Pacific).
Also, the Wish List function does not work as it has in the past, if you have a personal password that you have set up for Wish List in the past, it may work. New Passwords are not functioning. We are focusing on the credit processing at this time, not the Wish List.

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others
I think they took it offline since the site wasn't active -- not sure if it's to work on things or they were getting lots of complaints from folks who didn't read the whole message.
I was in the site earlier -- even let me load the cart and go to the checkout/address/payment page/enter CC, but wouldn't process further and got an error message/kicked me back. I didn't think it would finish, but figured might as try and see what happened.
I went back an hour or so later to look around and it wouln't accept the password then.

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others
As the email I posted said they wanted to start the sale today Saturday at 3 PM eastern 12:00 PM Pacific Time but due to their credit card reader problem they think they will not be ready until Monday. If they fix it earlier they will send an update. You can keep trying to see if the password starts working. Last year it started working earlier than announced.

Another update with no additional information.
Hello,
Please note that the message indicated that the site is PREVIEW only for now.
Once the Credit Card function has been fixed, you will received a notification of the site going LIVE.
UNTIL THEN, NO ORDERS WILL PROCESS.

Website still isn't working. Of course I forgot, interns don't wake up until around noon.

WTF is wrong with you? First of all, this a FUNDRAISER with donated items. Not a fucking store having a sale to drum up business. Second, you didn't read anything in any of the posts. Third, it's west coast time, not east coast time.
People like you should be banned from this sale.

Why yes, I am the one to talk. but I don't go off on some justifying speech about a website being special.
In any case, is the website online yet? It was supposed to be online 3pm EST, correct?

There is no set time. They told us when they would try to. It was all clearly explained.

Let's steer the conversation towards the charity sale and away from DVD Polizei.
