Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

Stuff is selling out very quickly. Two things went out of stock while in my cart. Still managed to place an order for about $100 for several Criterions, a few Shout/Scream Factory titles, and a few Sony catalog. Hopefully their inventory system is better this year and everyone gets what they ordered. The things going out of stock seems to be a positive indication of them upgrading their system. Don't forget the free title for orders over $50. The free selection isn't bad this year.

I got my order in. I thought Pink Panther would be gone quick. But I was able to get one. They must have a lot of it. Wanted 6 million dollar man set. Too bad they didn't have it cheaper than that.

The only thing I missed out on that I wanted was The Game. I wasn't ready. Thought it would be at 6pm Pacific.

I had a couple of things go out of stock in my cart as well. I was still able to snag all of this for $159.50 (including S&H):

Boardwalk Empire: Season 5
Breaker Morant (Criterion)
The Cabin in the Woods (freebie)
Elvis
Freaks and Geeks: The Complete Series
Fresh Off the Boat: Season 1 (DVD)
Game of Thrones: Seasons 3 and 4
Game of Thrones: Season 5
Hello, My Name is Doris
Jubal (Criterion)
Lonesome (Criterion)
Love & Friendship
The Man Who Knew Too Much (Criterion)
Penny Dreadful: Season 1
Popstar
The Purge
The Vincent Price Collection III

Overall, I'm quite happy with the haul--especially the Freaks and Geeks and Vincent Price sets.

Logan Lucky and Death Becomes Her sold out before I could check out, but I did get that free copy of Vampire Academy that I have always wanted (owned the other movies).

This is probably a stupid question, but are all of these items new and sealed? Thanks!

Yes. They are all new.

All of these are donated by the respected companies.

Had an order ready but that $12.50 shipping really killed the deal... especially considering what is sold out.

I only found 2; & the $11 s/h kills it for that small of an order. Oh well.

Re: EAA Charity Sale - Deals on Shout factory, Warner, Criterion, others

I managed to find 5, so I did order. Be aware of a bug: After I logged in, selected 2 & checked the shipping; they would no longer except eaa2017 after I added more. I had to open a totally different browser & start over to complete the order. Ended up with 4 blu's & 1 dvd for just under $31; not too bad. Though I probably woudn't have bought any of these if they weren't so cheap.

1. Cafe Society blu/dvd $5
2. La Beau Serge Criterion DVD $5
3. The Man Who Knew Too Much Criterion blu $5
4. Mr Deeds 80th anniversary blu $5
5. Warm Bodies blu + dvd $1

s/h $10.80
Total $31.80

I'm seeing a bunch of new stuff that they've added in the last hour or so. It almost makes me think that I might end up making another order in the next day or two, if the new stuff is still there.

Here are some of the things that I've noticed that weren't there when I placed my order a few hours ago:

Bill and Ted's Most Excellent Collection
Billions: Season One
Billy Jack: The Complete Collection
Girls: Seasons 1-6
The Glass Castle
The Godfather Omerta Edition
Orange is the New Black: Season 4
The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Series

I'm sure there are lots more (it looks like they've added a lot of Disney stuff), but that's just from a quick scan.

Got nothing. The only thing I was interested in was the Vincent Price Collection (and that was only because of Master of the World)... and it sold out while placing my order.

My browser must have been acting up, because I would have bought Orange, Billy Jack, and few of the Girls seasons.

It looks like I'm due for another order soon.

This has been a hell of an expensive Black Friday week.

I only saw some of those titles in the section marked "new".

I think Billy Jack is actually cheaper at Best Buy and that the release has several significant technical issues. Not to discourage you from supporting the charity, but just as a heads up.

They appear to be adding some sold out ones back but raising the price.
I got Pink Panther for 25 and they added it back at 30. Some others like that too.

Saving Mr. Banks
Girls: Season 6
Danish Girl
Walking Dead The Sixth Season
American Horror Story Hotel
Girls: Season 5
American Crime Story The People v. OJ Simpson
Everybody Wants Some!!
Room
John Wayne Westerns Film Collection

Got in but nothing I really wanted. Still glad that everyone is supporting a great cause though.

There are definitely some good prices and some titles I wouldn't mind owning, but there's nothing that's really compelling me to order more after my Black Friday week splurge.
