I think one's opinion of the film will greatly depend on how much you like Juliette Binoche. Despite Kristin Stewart's presence the movie has a distinctly European flavor often found in French film. It's an interesting film but a blind buy would depend on how much the $15 means to you.

Yeah, the window closes quickly on these double stacking deals. I regretted not getting in on the 40% off all Blu-ray movies stacked with the 30% off $150 deal. I saw the deal for the Sparkler and 50% off criterion stacking last night, and went ahead an put my order in right away rather than risk missing out.

Coupons, codes, and deals get shut down early all the time b/c they're either too popular or b/c they're functioning in a way maybe they werent supposed to.
You got two large orders in on something that may not ever have been expected to be released by B&N so you can feel lucky or cheated. You could be like 90% of the Criterion folks who don't belong to the 2-3 places that posted the coded and then you'd never know you were missing anything at all and not have any cheap Movies either, but happier.

I heard how they pulled the 20% code early.And should have put in one last ordered last night on the movies I had in my cart.But live and learn.
And come to think of it.25% off orders over $100,when Criterion movies are already 50% off is quite A great deal.Plus many use discounted B@N gift cards.
I was not planning on buying many CC movies this sale.But the sale price + the 25% off code was hard to pass up and I already bought way more than I planned on.
B&N does have the best Criterion Collection sales.But I still talk shit about them and many other merchants.

None of the coupons online seem to be working for Criterions at all. They are working for other movies however so the block seems very specific to the 50% sale items.
If you are a nonmember and needing 3 items on a single coupon then the $10 off $50 total purchase is great -- (19.99 x3) - $10 = 49.97 . A little cheaper and a lot easier if you don't want to try 3 separate coupons. You don't have enough posts to open your PM yet -- you may want to get to 10 posts then go to your Profile and "allow Private Message" in the setting -- I think in 24 hrs it will open which makes things a bit easier.
Otherwise you need to go to the setting and ALLOW Email otherwise there isn't a way to send information

I don't know if the 15% coupons would stack with the $10 off of $50 coupon. The store that I visited was picked clean. I had a hard time finding two $20 titles that I wanted. I added Blue is the Warmest Color for $12.50 so that I could at least use the $10 coupon. It scanned with no problem whatsoever.

I'm confused. I'm a member and I had planned on buying 5-6 titles in store during this sale. At least one purchase would have been in store with member 10% discount plus 20% emailed member coupon. Others would have been in store and 15% coupons. But I received a $10 off 50 coupon, apparently instead of the usual 20% member coupon. So I have two questions: 1) Did I miss a 20% emailed coupon or were they not sent to members this time? and 2) Do the 15% coupons work on the Criterion sale in store?

..I tried using a 15% off store coupon yesterday and the manager had to check and see if they could accept it, after checking with her mgr she came back and said no can do..it was a real bummer as I was hoping to pick up "carnival of souls and "the brood"...sigh!

just used two of them successfully across two separate transactions. The system didn't restrict it at all, so its only enforcement could be policy based. Need 'A Touch of Zen' and 'New World' (got the 2 snail mail 20% off reserved for that) and am done with this sale. Thanks again for the coupons, hariseldon

The $10 off 50 coupon was scanned at the register and it applied fine with no need for any manual intervention. I don't expect any issue with the mailer coupons, either. If there's a kind of coupon on which you can stand your ground, its those :-). Will report back Tuesday evening when I pickup ATOZ. It's a thrill hunt, gotta say, these coupons !
