Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion 50% off

I received a 20% off email coupon a couple of days ago and had two snail mail 20% coupons from a few weeks back. All of the coupons expire 11/15. I used one this afternoon at my local B&N to pick up Mulholland Drive, found the last in-store copy. The store (Rio Mall in Gaithersburg, MD) had a couple of copies of Kwaidan that I saw.

I'd love a 15% off coupon, if you'll share.

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion 50% off

I haven't taken advantage of these sales before for some reason and finally signed up for a B&N membership a few days ago. I don't expect to receive any USPS coupons in time before the sale ends if at all but was curious how the possible BF type (hopefully 30%+) coupons normally work. I couldn't really find a lot about them but maybe overlooked it. Do they work online as well as in store usually? If online, can they typically be used multiple times?

I have read a few people saying they could only use BF coupons once in store before but know with most of these coupons in stores it's YMMV and seemingly much moreso this year. I'm trying to figure out if I should go ahead and order some things online with 20% off without the 10% membership discount and hope they arrive in good shape or wait for 20%-30% off printable coupons and be able to use the 10% membership discount. Since this is my first time, I'm not sure how the CSRs at my local store(s) would be with using a 20%+ coupon for multiple discs and don't want to miss out on being able to use any multi-use online coupons or wait too long hoping for a better in store coupon and risk the store's stock being depleted. Thanks.

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion 50% off

Thanks a lot for your reply and for the background on the BF coupons and the history on the recent overlaps. I hope we see something similar this year with good generic coupons that can be used multiple times and some B&N forgetfulness. Here's hoping for some nice clerks this year too. I appreciate your offering to share your codes as well.

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion 50% off

picked up

And that's it for me this sale. This will definitely go down as the least I've ever dropped on one of these sales. Feels good to keep coming in under budget for a change.
Was toying with getting the Apu set, but I still have 3 or four other big box sets from previous sales I haven't even cracked the shrinkwrap on yet.

I did goof initially in that I forgot to buy any gift cards first before I bought the first three. I could take them back and rebuy them with a GC, but I already used one of my 20% snail mail coupons on the sale. Oh well.

BTW- I picked up Dressed To Kill a couple months back and I thought it was a nice upgrade in PQ over the MGM and Arrow releases. The coloring doesn't look revisionist to me at all. Very happy with that release- as well a Room With A View. I had been satisfied with both releases up till now, but the Criterions feel much more definitive as far as A/V goes.

Obviously a pretty popular new release. In the past when it's happened (except for OOP items) these seem to return to stock in a day or so at the most
I ran up to my local store and picked it up. I had to call first since the website said that store was OOS. They had 2 copies which I figured they would.

I just picked up Mulholland Drive. I'm proud of myself for showing restraint during this sale. My backlog of movies I still have to watch is pretty long.

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion 50% off

Uhhhhh.... do we not have those 8 bucks of an order of 50 bucks anymore? Cuz the other page only has it for the one expired in August.

Edit. Nvm. Found the newer coupons. It's an 8 bucks off a 40 bucks item. I somehow forgot it was like that. I used the 5 bucks on.

16.32 for each of the 3 BDs I got . That's ok, right? Considering I can't stack at my store?

Anyone know when the sale is supposed to end?
Hoping to pick up Ikiru on sale this time around, the discount won't work until it's release on the 24th.

EDIT: It's easier to catch requests by PM though I will go through the threads intermittently. I have plenty so don't worry and ask for what you think you can use
I'd love the 15% coupon if you still have one. Thanks and much appreciated!

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion 50% off

I really wonder how some of you lot get lower than me w/o stacking. My store doesn't allow it. They're smart.

Cheapest I can get a BD is $16.32, getting 3 and using that $5 off w/ a $50 order.

Would it be better if I just use a 20% off on a single BD? And then just do multiples orders, is that even allowed? I need more 20% off coupons.

The only 20% off codes I currently know of are the ones people received in the mail. I got two on some postcard-like mailer. I have been ordering individual titles with hariseldon's 15% off codes, so mine are coming to $16.99 plus tax shipped.

Here's a couple of 15% off codes I won't use, courtesy of the most awesome hariseldon:

RZ4WSVLF585QC
DSJ2VNMG32MRS

And here's a reminder for folks like me who forgot how to make it a printable coupon ... copy this link:

www(.)barnesandnoble.com/promos/bn-promo.jsp?cid=3500001:xxxxxxxxx

Removed the parentheses around the first period, and add the code to end, replacing the xxxxxxx.

Please post if used.

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion 50% off

For my first trip, I picked up Dressed to Kill and Mulholand Dr. Like everyone else, I try to get the best deal I can. My local B&N won't accept stacked coupons or the 8 off 40 coupon for $39.99, but they will allow me to use multiple coupons, one per transaction. With membership (-10%) and coupons (-15%, I hardly ever receive the 20%) they come out to $16.01 each. I find that an acceptable price for Criterion blu rays.
Waiting for the BF coupon (30% ) to pick up the rest of my wants; I'm looking at you The Apu Trilogy.

You went to the Ala Moana BN right? I don't think they've ever accepted the $8 off $40 on the $39.99 Criterions. Oh well, it's nice to know that I don't need to waste the effort trying to convince them to accept that coupon.

Were there a lot of copies Of Mulholland Dr. there? I'm waiting till BF to pick that one up since my list of wants is rather small this time.

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion 50% off

Here are three unused 15% off coupons from Hariseldon (thanks, dude!) for you lurkers out there. Good through close of business today or Nov 16 2015 @ 2:59am Eastern online.

F5WRTELT19DF7
QM5LM8PU5BCZF
3SWXGF642VQNA

As for me, the local B&N was out of stock on a few wanted titles, but there were still plenty of possibilities. I bought

Basil Dearden's London Underground (Eclipse DVD set)
Night Train to Munich (DVD)
Things to Come
The Man Who Knew Too Much
The Killers (all BD)
