I wouldn't mind getting Used Cars but not sure if I want to pay $25 plus shipping for it.

I love DEMETRIUS AND THE GLADIATORS but Twilight Time got an awful HD master from the studio, leftover from the one struck for DVD. The included isolated score is the best thing about TT's Blu-ray.

I guess we have an idea now of which titles were selling poorly.

Yeah, I'm waiting for that to drop further... be nice if Fox released it after the three years are up... which should be soon if not already...

I got Used Cars for $30 and it was well worth it. But then again, Kurt Russell is freaking awesome, and this is probably one of his best. (behind the Escapes and The Thing)

For me, I picked up the following from the sale:

The Disappearance
The Front

I also picked up Zardoz on pre-order (classic Sean Connery awesomeness) and Journey to the Center of the Earth, the re-issue. $100 out the door. I know there are a lot of Twilight Time haters (look no further than this thread), but I've been very happy with the releases I've gotten. (Body Double, Wild At Heart, Rollerball and Used Cars) Yes, its $30 a pop but the studios would most likely have NEVER put out these releases on Blu-ray elsewise. I'm thankful for the Twilight Time, Criterion, Olive, Kino, etc's of the world and look forward to more of my favorites and gems from the past.

And the few titles I did buy from them are on there (except Wild at Heart.) I've given up on forecasting which ones are going to sell out; I never expected Fright Night to sell out as quick as it did.

I had talked myself into getting Man In The Dark 3D but the extra $5 shipping convinced me not to.

Son of a B! I just bought 3 Twilight Times titles last week. Born Yesterday, Breaking Away, and Inherit the Wind. Only Breaking Away is not on this list. That's $20 I coulda saved. Crap on a cracker.

Suddenly, my $107.00 with shipping doesn't feel so painstaking. But on a serious note, you would think that once you get over $100, shipping should be capped ($8-$10 should be more than enough) or be made free all together. I get why their business model is charging $30 (or $20 in these sales) for the most part, but the shipping does seem to be a gouge of sorts. Just my two cents (or $7.20 I spent for shipping).

TT post on facebook what tittles are low in stock and about to sell out.
The horror movies from TT have been selling out the fastest.
This is from last month.
Nothing for me this time around.I bought to many movies that I might watch once.yeah they are limited, but I'm on a budget now for movie buying.

The Driver,Hard Times and Used Cars are movies I would buy the blu-ray.

Movies like THE BLUE MAX and LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN are on the Classic Quad sets from 20th Century Fox that I own.Paid about $12 for 4 movies.
And for me,the DVD version is good enough for me.

THE DRIVER - fewer than 200 remaining
LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN Just sold out
HARD TIMES - fewer than 250 remaining
BYE BYE BIRDIE - fewer than 300 remaining
PICNIC - fewer than 300 remaining
BELL, BOOK & CANDLE - fewer than 500 remaining
THE BLUE MAX - fewer than 500 remaining
IN LIKE FLINT - slightly more than 500 remaining
USED CARS - slightly more than 500 remaining
THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO/THUNDERBIRDS 6 - slightly more than 500 remaining

Hopefully someone will see it as a marketing idea to move more copies of the Robe. They should have been released together from the start.

Kino is releasing dvds of Wild at Heart & Thunderbolt & Lightfoot, so I think there may be some light at the end of the tunnel.

Re: Twilight Time's 4th Anniversary sale 3/25-4/3

Took advantage of the free Autographed film and Birthday Price promotions to get the following:

- PAL JOEY
- BORN YESTERDAY
- THE KILLER ELITE (1975) / NOON WINE
- SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE
- HIGH TIME
- BREAKING AWAY (1979 / AUTOGRAPHED )
- MR. HOBBS TAKES A VACATION
- SEXY BEAST
- DOGS OF WAR

SUBTOTAL: $164.60
SHIPPING & HANDLING: $11.95
TOTAL DUE: $176.55

To clarify, they offered a free signed copy of Breaking Away earlier today if you purchased $149.75 worth of TT films, and interesting enough, this signed film sold out as fast as the signed Fright Night I grabbed a couple weeks back (but the FN autograph promotion crashed their site, and it took me over 30 minutes of persistently trying to successfully check out with FN in my cart, but it was all worth it in the end).

My understanding is that the signed allotment of FN was placed in people's checkout carts inside of 5 minutes, it is just that it took forever for those of us who succeeded in getting FN into our carts to check out, while Breaking Away sold out in about 5 minutes, and was a super quick checkout process due to no site issues.

I wish SAE would have a site wide sale. My wishlist is busting with high priced items just waiting for a discount so they can come home.

Most of the free promos sell out in about 5 minutes or less.
I gotten about 6 sign copies.

Glad you got a copy.I been cutting back on my movie spending.
I think if I knew about this promo,I might have place A order though.
As the Birthday sale gives you about 2 or 3 more movies at the $149.75 needed to get free sign promo movie.

And Breaking Away is one of my favorite TT releases. But I already own it.

Looks like they only discount the tittles that are not selling fast enough.Kind of sucks, but better then paying full price.

I was only going to buy a few, but what the heck. I rarely buy from these guys so I splurged.

Breaking Away (missed the deal )

Picnic
Pal Joey
Zulu
The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie
Cover Girl

Boutique independent label that licenses films from major studios. Their runs are limited to 3000 copies, and prices run high, around $30. The thing is that they release BDs that major studios won't, and you won't find them in a $5 dump bin.

Nope, I ordered on the 1st to grab their signed blu, and it is still pending. I will send them an email if another week passes and it is still stuck in pending, but I suspect it will ship no later than this Tuesday.

04/13: I nearly nailed it, my order shipped out today. I was much less antsy about this order than my last, this one has Breaking Away signed, but the last one had a signed copy of Fright Night...so for that order I sent SA an e-mail inquiring about shipping after a week had passed, but I was chill with this past order and knew it would ship sooner or later.
