Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

I was JUST about to buy Titanic today but held off. Good call, brain.

In for Titanic, TF4, Lego and maybe Nebraska.

Amazon traditionally will match these prices on BF for a limited time, right?

Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

The link is currently down. I get a message the ads are undergoing scheduled maintenance.

I did get an e-mail the X- men Days of Future Past and Maleficent would be $9.99 each . These are 2D not 3D.

Can you price match GOTG steelie if you already pre-ordered? I used a $5 online gift card so don't want to lose that by canceling...

Thanks, bigjim--makes it much easier to read than looking through the virtual flyer or the BFAds site.

If Amazon matches I'll probably get Godzilla for sure. Possibly Don Jon and The Lego Movie too. Other than those titles nothing much I really want or need off that list.

Totally agree - I saw the ad and thought for a second I wasn't looking at the BF ad. Odd that they'd have non-sale stuff in their BF ad.

Rise Of The Guardians 3D + BD + DVD/DC is $9.99 online and in the store. Went to the store to redeem a "mystery gift certificate". It was only $5 but got this for $4.99. The real issue was going to the store. They had 3D titles ALL OVER THE PLACE. I spent about 20mins and finally gave up and asked a CSR to help, which they did and got a copy rather quickly.

If a BD is not in a separate display these days, finding a specific title is almost impossible at Best Buy. Their confusing layout of separate genres and mixing formats makes finding anything very difficult.

Mine came with a free ticket to The Penguins of Madagascar. So my daughter was pretty excited about that. I feel much better about spending $3 for the movie now

Another CSR told me they get displays with movies already on them, and they just unpack the display and put it together, so stock on hand is confusing as CSRs are putting the titles where they should be if they get boxes of movies clearly labeled...but the same titles could be on a display that was shipped from the distributor and is standing by its lonesome somewhere in the store.

There's no way I'm going there to find more than one title that's on sale during BF sales and the holidays. Add to the confusion with customers leaving titles throughout the store which they no longer want...not a good shopping experience.

Several of the low price titles are things I've been waiting patiently for. Some good deals for me on that list above. I hope they are available on line or that Amazon matches them (no Best Buy store around here, not that I would ever brave BF crowds anyway).

If I was willing to fight the crowds (I'm not) I would be all over the $199 Panasonic 50" LED!

Awful prices on the $49.99+ titles. They've been that price or lower over the past year, with the exception of maybe Downton Abbey.

All the box sets have terrible prices. Do they really think saving $5 over retail on a $50 set is going to have people waiting in line for six hours?

Good luck finding it.

I feel sorry for folks who have to work the floors during these few months.
