Gonna try to use an online coupon in store tomorrow. What coupon should I try or do they all say not valid on criterions?

Why not use the pair of 15% in store printables from the COupon thread which doesn't have the language directly printed on it? That would be my first suggestion.
I don't think any of the online coupons have a shot plus I don;t think you can print them now
I'd also check email in the morning -- with Vet Day and November sales there may be a new coupon to add to the others though I think there is a higher chance the new coupon might have teh exclusion language

I might not be able to get the Lone Wolf set until later in the month, what are the odds of it selling out?

I tried using both 15% off coupons last night with no luck, so hopefully a new batch of coupons with no exclusions come out before BF.

Was able to combine the discount with a 20% coupon the cashier had to get the Zatoichi set for $71.99. Also grabbed The Kid. That was pretty much my budget for this sale but still want Cat People and a couple others. Maybe next sale.

Thanks, laidback, wish I'd seen your post last night.
Still holding out for a coupon, so I haven't made an order, yet. We'll see...

I used the 20% coupon mailed to me and the 20% emailed coupon yesterday. I grabbed "The New World" and "Blood Simple." They had to force through the coupons after finding no restrictions on Criterion on either coupon. I just waited patiently as they sorted it all out. There were plenty of Criterion titles in stock at the location in Surprise, AZ.

Made my 4th trip to B&N during this sale and picked up some new stuff that I'm really excited about
Dreams
Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman (Re-Release)
Punch-Drunk Love
I'll probably make one more trip to B&N if I can find copies of The Battle of Algiers & Breaking The Waves that aren't beat to hell physically.

Not a bargain but a big surprise. Mildred Pierce is going to be released by Criterion on February 21. I guess Warner Bros is serious about leasing its films to Criterion.
Melodrama casts noirish shadows in this portrait of maternal sacrifice from the Hollywood master Michael Curtiz. Its iconic performance by Joan Crawford as Mildred, a single mother hell-bent on freeing her children from the stigma of economic hardship, solidified Crawford’s career comeback and gave the actor her only Oscar. But as Mildred pulls herself up by the bootstraps, first as an unflappable waitress and eventually as the well-heeled owner of a successful restaurant chain, the ingratitude of her materialistic firstborn (a diabolical Ann Blyth) becomes a venomous serpent’s tooth, setting in motion an endless cycle of desperate overtures and heartless recriminations. Recasting James M. Cain’s rich psychological novel as a murder mystery, this bitter cocktail of blind parental love and all-American ambition is both unremittingly hard-boiled and sumptuously emotional.
New 4K digital restoration, with uncompressed monaural soundtrack on the Blu-ray
New conversation about Mildred Pierce with critics Molly Haskell and Robert Polito
Excerpt from a 1970 episode of The David Frost Show featuring actor Joan Crawford
Joan Crawford: The Ultimate Movie Star, a 2002 feature-length documentary on Crawford’s life and career
Q&A with actor Ann Blyth from 2002, conducted by film historian Eddie Muller
Segment from a 1969 episode of the Today show featuring novelist James M. Cain
Trailer
PLUS: An essay by critic Imogen Sara Smith

I keep hoping for a non-member, Criterion-including online coupon but maybe I just need to let it go and make a purchase or two before the sale is over and be done with it.

Order placed on November 01. One chunk of the order was sent via UPS and that arrived last week. The rest (some 30 Criterion blus) were fractured into several shipments and sent via Ascendia. This is the current status:
Date Time Status Location
11/06/2016 08:15 In Transit To Carrier's US Operations Facility Bell Ca
11/05/2016 09:15 Shipment Has Left Seller Facility And Is In Transit To Carrier Bell Ca
11/05/2016 06:00 Shipment Information Received By Asendia Bell Ca
Extremely disappointing for such an expensive order.

Did you import them? I've never seen Asendia used within the USA. Amazon UK seems to use it more often than not and those orders usually take about 2 weeks to get to me.
Granted, this B&N, but still. Unless they use Asendia for international orders.

So I purchased Ikiru for $21.76, which includes sales tax, from Target here in New York City. So I guess if a non-member who lives in New York City only wants one movie and doesn't want to pay for shipping they can go to Target and ask for a price match.

This sale used to be a lot more fun when my favorite local (well, it was still a decent trek to Queens) B&N b&m was still open. They had an extensive selection without the crowds/annoying cashiers of the Manhattan locations. No hassle coupon usage and everything.
Ever since they closed that location though, I basically sit these out unless a decent non-member coupon hits to use on a box set. Womp womp
But, on that note...any non-member BF coupons expected to hit this week?

A friendly reminder that this sale ends the 28th, not the 27th. A moderator or adminstrator should change it.
