That does not appear to be correct. I just selected a $40 item marked down to $30, added the 30% discount code and it took it down to $19.

I would say the discount code is a worthwhile coupon based on what happened.

I don't think anyone got Agents of SHIELD or Spartacus. They seemingly went in and manually canceled those items, even on the Halloween orders that went through. I have no idea why they are willing to lose money on the Halloween sets but not the others.

Herzog's Nosferatu is $7 and the Classic Gangsters comes to $23; pretty good deal, but I couldn't see how to get the free shipping to apply (I also had Red River and The Innocents to get above the $59 threshold). --Peter

No, it is one promo per order so the free shipping cannot be stacked. If you are buying a Criterion off their sale list (Il Sorpasso for ~ $ 13), it rounds out to a better deal (see my order above).

Even without the ability to stack, I got 5 Criterion Blus that were on sale for 52% off for $13.29 each + $6.95 shipping. That averages out to $14.68 each which is less than the B&N sale.

I ordered Eraserhead and The Innocents. They were $18.89 each. Not too bad for new Criterion releases.

I bit on Nosferatu: The Vampyre despite the bad things I've heard about the transfer. I figured it was probably worth the $6.99 I spent on it.

Probably the best deal that I picked up was Night of the Comet. It came out to $13.98. The lowest price it has been at Amazon was $18.43. Most of those Shout Factory titles don't get discounted too often.

Of course, those prices don't include shipping. Even still, I'm pretty happy with what I paid for everything.

Don't know about the transfer, but Kinski's Nosferatu is an excellent film; I'd rank it as almost as good as the Murnau original & Lugosi's Dracula.

You're lucky. I saw two others say they got it between looking at slickdeals and facebook earlier. Some people that even ordered early didn't get it.

Their customer service people have apparently been taking a lot of nasty, rude and threatening calls from people threatening to sue unless they get "their" unreasonably-cheap, obviously-mispriced films.

What is wrong with people? It's just films.. and you don't "deserve" to get something that you KNEW to be an implausible deal. Anyone who did get something got very, very lucky! Everyone else got a very generous coupon as compensation for an obvious mistake that was corrected. Not a withdrawn promise, an accident.

Unless there's a 30% or 40% coupon, 40 becomes 20 becomes 18 (member) becomes $14.40 (20%) or $15.10 (15%). Plus tax. Surely..?

It's really too bad companies can't grow a pair of brass ones and inform their customer service to tell people like this to go fuck themselves silly, and that they will be put on a list to never order from not only TCM, but other merchants as their behavior will be reported. It's a shame people can get away with insults and stupid behavior like this.
