Is "The Civil War" even possible to release in HD?

I believe The Civil War was shot and mastered on film, i.e. it appears to show the normal amount of frame jitter/stability issues of film, even the credits/effects. I would hope any remastering effort would include a new 4K scan, color restoration and frame stabilization.

If "Jazz" the is the burns box set; that's an amazing buy. I paid $100 years ago.
