Re: Target deals

La La Land has been delayed. Target sent me an e-mail that I have to appove the delay or the order will be cancelled. New release date: 09/09/2099 per e-mail. Obviously a place holder. Anyone who bought it during the B2G1 sales should above it or risk losing your free movie. Unless they shipped free one already. In case that don't approve and let them cancel.

Re: Target deals

It's not really free. The free amount is spread across the three movies. Example, if you bought 3 movies at $15 each, if you go to return one you will get a $10 refund.

Re: Target deals

I just got shipping notice for The Gate, so it looks like I should get it before release day. Total came to $20.36.

Re: Target deals

I stopped in this evening and it looked like a tsunami crashed through the media section. Physical media is dead? Not a single copy of "Hidden Figures" on Blu-ray... and nothing else of note that I wanted. They had the latest Brad Pitt bomb, "Allied" but I don't want to pay $16 after cartwheel so I'll wait till the inevitable $10 sale. They had at least a dozen "Finding Dory" steelbooks on sale for $15...$12 after cartwheel. I didn't buy it because I am hoping Zavvi does a lenti version to match Nemo.

My target has a cardboard display stand full of Hidden Figures Blu Rays. Maybe yours did too and you didn't see it? Mine was not right next to the Blu Rays but closer to the mobile phones and electronics.

Hmmmm...I may have walked right by the display. Probably going to head back to Target on Thursday. I am vacillating on the "Finding Dory" steelbook...

Target here has probably cut music & movies by 50% in the last year. BB is worse.

Re: Target deals

Target added a few more movies to the $5 gift card deal. Logan and Get Out. I picked up the Logan exclusive. You can't beat $20 w/ $5 gift card and free shipping. It also gave me a May 24th delivery date, so I guess it's coming out May 23rd? Unless they are using that as a placeholder date.

Re: Target deals

Went a little nutty with the 20% Cartwheel Coupon in-store today.

Picked up:

Jackie (2016)
Underworld: Blood Wars (2016)
La La Land (Target Exclusive) (2016)
A Monster Calls (2016)
The Girl With All The Gifts (2016)

Re: Target deals

How good is the Target bonus on La La Land? I can get the regular version at a Kroger store with free shavers and chocolate bars and a 10 dollar coupon.

That sounds like a LOT of special items and probably worth it ($10 coupon and candy bar alone).

Love me that Cartwheel deal. Finding Dory is a damn steal. Picked up two copies and also got about 12 other films. Can't go wrong with 20%.

No Target within 100m got a SINGLE copy of the Exclusive version...

Was there a problem, or is it just near me that got shorted?

Re: Target deals

This week, Target has an in-store display of Blu-Rays with The Mummy (2017) Movie Cash ($8 worth).

Scorpion King
Van Helsing
Jurassic World
King Kong: Ultimate Edition
The Mummy
The Mummy Returns
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

I believe all titles except for Jurassic World were $7.99.

The awesome thing? The titles that have Slipcovers (King Kong + All Mummy Films), come with DOUBLE Movie Cash! The Fandango Sticker is on the outside of the packaging as well as on the Blu-Ray itself!

A bit of good fortune. I happened to be at Target yesterday, saw the films on sale and decided to use a $5 credit to pick up King Kong. I was motivated by the movie cash. And just checked and you are correct--there's one on the slipcover and the BD case. I might have picked up others if I had known.

I messed up. I got confirmation that the extra Movie Cash Sticker on the Slipcovers is just that, a sticker. I apologize and have edited my earlier post to reflect this.

In this particular display? No, just regular BDs on this small Cardboard Display.

Re: Target deals

Odd, I bought King Kong at Best Buy and it also had two stickers. And both had different codes on them.

Re: Target deals

Wait, some copies have codes on the back of the sticker and others don't? Having read one the posts that said the codes were there, I checked a copy at Target, and then another at Walmart - no codes on the back of the stickers. And I didn't think twice about it because they were the type that are really easy to peel off. Would have been easy to score one without even having to buy the movie.
