I'm going out to hit a few stores today, so I'll have to check it out.

EDIT...it is legit. $7.99 sale price for the Blu-ray, while the standard DVD is "on sale" for $9.99.

Amazon has now matched that price.

Re: Target deals

It should be mentioned, however, that it is currently listed as being that price exclusively for Prime members.

Thanks. I swung by there myself today, lot of other stuff I was looking for that they didn't have, but didn't have time to really post before now. I appreciate the effort though, thanks again.

Re: Target deals

There's a Cartwheel coupon for 30% off The Imitation Game blu. I pricematached Amazon for $14.99. That, plus the Cartwheel and Redcard brought it down to $9.97 plus tax. Coupon is valid until 05/16.

Re: Target deals

Most Targets now have a small steelbook section. I was able to pick up the American Werewolf in London steelbook for a mere $9.99 http://www.amazon.com/American-Werewolf-London-Limited-Steelbook/dp/B00MN9PQ3W/. They had plenty of others there too like Super 8 (which was down to $9.99 as well) http://www.amazon.com/Exclusive-Collectible-Embossed-MetalPack-SteelBook/dp/B00SLYBKME/but I had picked that up a while back. A lot of good titles, Target seems to be increasingly interested in putting steelies on the shelf (except for the DC animated titles which seem to be out of stock on release day in hours). I also saw on another forum that they are getting Mondo stuff as well.

Re: Target deals

I would take anything to get their rather boring movie selection rotated. At least Walmart fills their shelves with newer independent releases on a regular basis. Target keeps the same boring line-up of star-driven junk for months and months.

It goes store by store. My local Target (the 2nd closest of 3 to me) removed their steelbook/futurepak section altogether this week.

I completely agree. It does seem to be the same every week. However, I did notice a few new $5 releases this week when I went in. Still nothing I want, but hey, it was better than the usual mess I've seen for the last 6 months at least.

Odd, especially with the move by Target to provide more steelies (or at least that's the image they are portraying by expanding it in certain stores and with the Mondo online releases). I also have three Targets within close proximity to me and I could see one of them (the smaller one) removing the steelbooks. Heck that store (Houston, Wilcrest/Westheimer) I could see them removing Blu-rays all together.

Check on Target dot com to make sure about the version/price. The ad shows some as DVDs, but the BD is on sale.

Bought the Lucy BD for $8 and paired it with the Psycho BD steelbook at $9.99. Total for both was $13.99 plus tax.

Re: Target deals

There are about 48 Blu-ray titles for the B1G50%OFF sale. Seems to be X-Men related.

On a side note Justified Season 5 (Blu-ray) is currently $15.00 which I scooped up to finish my collection of that series. Nice deal on that one.

Re: Target deals

They've had the 2D Spongebob cheap several times since it's been out, but they just refuse to sale-price the 3D one. It's almost like they want it to not sell.

While not cheap, it is listed at $24.99 online. If you could find another movie in the same price range and get 50% off it would bring the average down per movie. Hard part for me is finding another movie in that price range I would be interested in to justify paying that price. Now if I could find a tv show in that price range, that would be a different story.

Re: Target deals

Any way to know which movies & tv seasons are on sale? I can verify that Justified Season 5 & 6 both rang up as $15.00.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Target deals

Most Targets have price-scanners in the store that you can check the prices on. Didn't know that the buy-one-get-one-half-price sale applied to sale prices as well, that might result in some good deals if I can find anything I need.
