Re: Target deals

I finally made my first order, all 4k titles:
Possessor
Prince of Darkness
Mad Max

I'm debating a second order.

Re: Target deals

If you group the titles properly, Target's sale is an excellent way to get anime cheaper than they will ever hit on Amazon and the like. Especially Funimation's Essentials line.

Re: Target deals

Apparently the advance ad for 3/21 shows an upcoming B2G1 on MOVIES, kids books, board games, activity sets, Video Games and puzzles

I'm assuming they'll have some version of new release and preorder exclusions, but it's been so hit or miss from sale to sale.

Re: Target deals

I'm not going to complain - just say that they're absolutely killing my budget with these B2G1 sales. Then... maybe "killing" isn't the right word. They're essentially taking my monthly budget for media/games every time they have one of these. I've been hoping for, and dreading at the same time, another one being announced.

For most of 2018-2020 that was exactly how I felt about these sales too.

I don't have any cause to complain either, having amassed a monstrous backlog over that time.

The exclusion of most pre-orders makes these a non-starter for me now.
Just as well, since an inordinate amount of my income went to paying off my RedCard bill every month.

I'm happy that others are still able to max them out, though.

One rare pre-order that is available at the moment is the upcoming Indiana Jones 4K set. Now you just need to find two other releases in the $89 range to make it worthwhile.

Re: Target deals

Darn, Target doesn't seem to have anything from Warner Archive or Olive Films. So much for the sale.

Re: Target deals

I was able to order Pump up the Volume which was on my want list. It is a good place for shout factory and paramount new releases.

At least some pre-orders are included, my order included Rat Race and the Battle Beyond the Stars steelbook, both of which come out in June

Re: Target deals

Pre-ordered The Sting, Animal House, and Last Action Hero. Had an additional $2.50 in Target cash or whatever it's called.

Like I said, there are a lot on the site. I wasn't going to type up a whole list. Search for what you're interested in. If it doesn't pop up, it's out of stock.

Re: Target deals

I got a few of the WAC that weren't part of the 4/44, but a couple others I had in my cart went OOS Saturday and the two 3/30 releases aren't included
Only about a third of the WAC releases since October have even been listed at Target.com at all though they did much better with the Feb and March releases

I did at least get Showboat before it wnet OOS, Pump Up the Volume, and My Dream in Yours. I think I might have gotten the last Showboat since it went OOS minutes later.
I had hopes of On Moonlight Bay and Josie and the Pussycats, but those went OOS on Friday and Saturday.

None of the ones I looked for then, like A Star Is Born (1954).

Re: Target deals

While it does also call up some unrelated results and probably isn't exhaustive, I've found searching for Allied Vaughn brings up a lot of the WAC discs.

Re: Target deals

In spite of my resolve I *did* order 12 board games/expansions. I managed to not order any media this time so there's that...

I absolutely love playing board games - always have. If these types of games had been available when I was a kid I'd have been in heaven. All we had then were the standard "Ameritrash" type games (Monopoly, Sorry, Operation, Life, etc.).

My total collection is around 200 games and roughly 150 expansions (that includes 25 for Carcassonne, 10 for Small World, 12 for Star Realms, 12 for Ticket to Ride, and several others that have 3-5 each). That's before that order which added 8 games and 4 expansions.

Here's a link to the full list on BGG.

Oh, I'm not judging. I have all kinds of games. My weakness is any and all versions of Pandemic. I was just amazed at the size of the order.

The one I’m playing right now sucks.
