B&N 50% off Criterion blu-ray sale now live from June 30 through July 28
 

The Criterion sale is now live online at B&N.com Says it's supposed to start at stores July 1 and run through July 28. Currently the only coupons are on the first page of the B&N coupon thread, but some 15% non-member and 20% member coupons should be arriving on July 3.

Probably just one use unique codes that can be used either online or at a store. Hopefully no online coupon restrictions this time around but will have to wait and see when the coupons show up.

Yeah, this sale always puts me in the hole for a pay period or two. But fuck it, some good stuff out there, and we get to pre-order Scanners. I'll hold out a few days until we get some good coupons.

I asked a B & N media rep yesterday when this sale would start and he said he didn't know. They usually notify the employees a week in advance, he said. :lol:

Probably just Thief and Insomnia for me. I'll force myself to wait for coupons on Thief and just hope I catch Insomnia on one since that's being released near the end of the sale.

Yeah. *sigh* I may be *pops neck* slightly miffed as to how Thief looks but I'm going to get it. Probably Rashoman, Life Aquatic, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Scanners, Royal Tenebaums, Throne of Blood, Insomnia, Walkabout, and Seventh Seal too.

The latter two somehow don't play now. The discs went like bronze/gold on the edges of the BD bottom.
Weird. Did my PS3 heat them or something?

my coupons came in the mail on Saturday. You should get them very soon if you haven't already. I had them hold some criterions for me, which they will do for 3 days.

I had thought this was starting next week. So when I saw the post about the sale being live online, I started counting the hours till the store opened. At 9:05 am I was there at the counter with a big stack of discs and the cashier gives me a weird sour look
"the sale doesn't start until the first."

D'Oh!

So I gave her the stack to hold till tomorrow. They were surprisingly out of Ace In The Hole, so I may just hit up another location first tomorrow bright and early.

Hoping to be able to use the $8 coupon on a $100/$50 set along with the $5 off on a separate transaction.

So I was messing around on the site and the online prices are 50% off, but if you select in-store pickup it goes back to full MSRP. I was thinking I might have found a way to outsmart the system, but nope. I guess I have to wait. :lol:
