Yes, thanks so much for that detailed rundown! My preferred local stores operate on the extreme conservative end of still accepting coupons, so I try to take it easy, and not push it in terms of multiple coupons in a single transaction, and whatnot. But your description might lead me to get more daring...

My question is - If B&N themselves generate and publish the generic coupons ($8 off $40 for e.g), why do the store managers give you hokum like 'they're fake' ? Are they THAT removed from the knowledge of company operations ? It seems like they go that route to prevent an explanation of denial for double dipping or using a coupon on a sale item - but instead choose to dismiss the coupon off as invalid. Either which way, there's a great disconnect in company policy on how this should be handled in store. As a customer, I can take 'won't do it for a sale item' but get pissed off on 'they're fake'

The best I'm able to do without a membership is the 50% off plus one of those 15% off coupons when I see them. Essentially, a $40 title for $16.99 once it is all said and done.

So Barnes & Noble sent me my order but the package was missing one of the titles I ordered (Rushmore). It's on the packing list and it doesn't say anything about shipment one of two or anything. The email I received also made it seem like everything was shipping out together. I emailed Barnes & Noble's customer service department but have yet to hear back.

They were probably in a rush to get the package out and different have any more copies of it to throw one in there. I hope they get this resolved for you without giving you grief like you are trying to scam them.

They were cool about it luckily. Heard back shortly after my post and they offered to send it or refund me. I opted to have them send it out.

I received IAMMMMW today, but the box was crushed because of the cheap crappy envelope B&N used to shit it. I guess I gotta call them to see if they can send a replacement.

I got mine along with Life Aquatica. I guess since they were together, it padded Mad Mad World. Line was fine. I do hate that shitty packaging. Got A Hard Day's Night alone the next day, and thank goodness that wasn't crushed.

Sometimes you have to wonder if they were at least partially crushed before they even left the warehouse. I've seen no evidence of damaged packaging and yet received some very bad copies from different retailers.

If my copy Of AHDN comes crushed I'll likely just have to make a trip to their B&M store to swap it. That's what I did with the crushed copy of the Three Colors they sent last year.

SOOOO Glad I got all of my Criterion BR's this year from B&N at the B&M store, except 1 and that one was ordered from a diiferent etailer and it came early. I too had way too much trouble with shipping from them last year and hoping I will not have to order online from them EVER again!!!
