Seems as if Groupon sends out coupon/discount codes to select members. I received one 2 days ago that was a $10 off a $25 purchase. It was only good Wednesday/Thursday. I ended up letting it go to waste, thought I might have used it if this set had been available then.

I just purchased something last week - and got an email this morning. Its attached to my account - not a code or anything, just applied it when I logged in with Facebook.

yeah, that happened to me last time this was $40. I'd like to get this, but I don't know if I want it enough to pay 40 bucks (+ tax). Maybe I'll get a coupon before this sells out again.

No problem. I gave that set a look and decided to pass. I'm not a huge fan of the series and after all the money I've spent lately, figured I had to draw the line somewhere.

No coupon for me, no sale. Just like with Deep Discount and their selective coupon mails, I have no patience for any company that randomly rewards some customers and ignores others. It bugs me on principle, so I am done with Groupon.

If you install the free Groupon app on your IPad or other iOS device, after opening the app for the first time you should see a "Save $10 off your $30 purchase" banner, according to this post over at SD. Android users will see the same banner, but apparently the $10 discount isn't showing up at checkout for a lot of them, including me.

Glad I held out - used the Groupon App for Android, worked the first time on my phone - I've read that reinstallling the app if you have an issue will fix the problem. Thanks to the original OP and to ktg for saving me bucks!

Happy my tip worked for a few. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling on my Galaxy S4 three times, never got it to work.
