Re: $8 Coupon for The Lone Ranger at DMR

Thanks.

Looks like Disney has changed to a new method of printing coupons. I had to download a new installer/printer.

YES!!!! I am SOOOO happy! I can actually print coupons at work again! This new method bypasses all of our software blockers, since it is Java based. I bet I can even print from my cell phone! I'll have to try that later...

Target is $22.99. Walmart is supposed to be $21.96. Toys R Us is $19.99.

If you are using ad-block plus with your browser it will block it.

Also, it prints straight to your default printer, it doesn't prompt, so make sure that is setup.

Wouldn't recommend any blind buys on this. Really disliked this film. If anything, wait for a future discount or Black Friday sale.

Re: $8 Coupon for The Lone Ranger at DMR

It would appear that this coupon is only scanning for $6 off. You'll have to get your cashier to manually adjust the price down the extra two dollars.

Re: $8 Coupon for The Lone Ranger at DMR

Yup - the coupon is only allowing for $6.00 - but CSR at Target are extremely helpful this morning - readjusted the coupon to $8 off and let me use the Toys R Us ad for $19.99 - $11.99 and 5% Red Card discount!!!

Thanks OP!

Re: $8 Coupon for The Lone Ranger at DMR

TRU still accepts MFR coupons, right? If I decide to pick it up that's where I'd go. I still haven't seen the movie but it's very rare to pick up a Disney anything for less than $20 nowadays, let alone $11.99 (although there's probably a reason this has an $8 coupon to go with it ).

Wish I had seen this this morning. Did notice on my receipt but was already in my car. Went back and then had to convince the customer service agent I really did buy the combo pack (she was insisting I bought the DVD, but I had the combo pack in the bag to show her). She then gave me two dollars rather than redo the transaction. I had to insist she redo it as I should have gotten more back as I was paying taxes on the higher subtotal pre-coupon. I still don't think she understood why I got more money back than the $2.

And as for blind buys-well, you might want to see it first, but I enjoyed the movie. I don't think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but the last 30-40 minutes are great.

Not sure about Wisconsin, but in most states a manufacturer's comes off after tax, so you still pay full tax on the pre-discouted price, because it is treated as a cash payment.

Re: $8 Coupon for The Lone Ranger at DMR

They must have fixed it. I bought it a couple hrs ago at Target (also price matching the TRU online price), and it automatically took off $8.

Hmm, well, I got more than $2 back, so in this case that's what happened. I wouldn't have argued if that's what the result would have been, but it was just odd how she gave me the $2 back without redoing the transaction at first. After I questioned it, she voided the whole thing, then started over from scratch and manually entered the extra $2 after the coupon scanned at $6 again. Maybe that's where it came in...

If you're interested, calculate the tax you were charged on the original order and see if you were charged tax on the full price or the discounted price. In the case of the second transaction, it's possible that you got some tax back because the credit she applied was applied as a store credit instead of a manufacturer's coupon.

It definitely varies by state. In Connecticut, you are taxed on the lower, coupon applied total.

I was aware of Connecticut, I think they're in the minority though. Not sure about Wisconsin.

Bought a couple of these as gifts - the coupon for the DVD version scanned at $6 while the blu-ray scanned at $8.

Is this coupon stackable with the DMR $3 coupon?
