Ordered it during the lightning deal on Turkey Day, received it pretty quickly through Prime.

I haven't received it yet, but it has shipped. I think it was out of stock when I ordered it as part of the lightning deal, but it shipped with all of my in-stock stuff.

Totally non-DVD-related, but has anyone else noticed Amazon is NOT offering those free Video On Demand credits to PRIME members who opt for the slower, non 2-day shipping this year? I was counting on those to watch some more free movies, but either they don't need the shipping load reduction any more, or they are just shipping things out slowly with no compensation to PRIME members (I actually have not been paying attention, but I think some things have taken longer than two days).

I am surprised, they wrote off a 5.2 BILLION dollar shipping loss last year! This year it was only 700 MILLIOn so maybe they feel as if they have it under control (?).

The shipping loss was for the USPS and not Amazon.

The problem with the USPS is due to congress, the postal service is funding the ENTIRE government pension system. They're not really losing money, it's due to our messed up gvt & their crooked accounting system.

Yes, there are a bunch of potentially good LDs, but too bad Amazon doesn't post the prices beforehand. So while I'm busy at work tomorrow and they are watching everyone's Internet usage like hawks because they're in a time crunch, I'm supposed to remember to log into Amazon to be ready for what may or may not be good deals. I prefer the way Amazon used to list prices the day ahead of time, but Amazon likes to make things worse over time. Even their new LD format is uglier. I liked the prior years' BF week format better.

I'll make a note to try to look then, but at work everything is unpredictable. I've occasionally checked the LDs since BF looking in movies, games, and electronics and they've had squat available when I looked that interested me, and I can't bend my life around checking their LDs at certain times which are a disappointment most of the time. At least tomorrow's sale all happens at the same time.

Those don't look like lightning deals, looks like they're tomorrow's deal of the day, since they all start at midnight PT

Re: Amazon Countdown to BF Week - Lightning Deals Calendar

I'd be fine if they all went live at the same time. That could potentially help with ordering several things, depending on prices, to get free shipping.

Looney Toons is the only possibility for me, & I can't imagine it getting down to my price range (especially with sales tax).
