FWIW, the inventory has been updated form "Ships in 24 Hours" to "Ships in 5-10 Days". Whether or not that means the orders are going to be fulfilled is anyone's guess but here's hoping.

No. A backorder is when there is no physical quantity available to fulfill. Since stock was available for the items in question, it's been allocated or reserved for shipping. The only way this can unallocated is by either shipping the physical item thereby reducing stock, or by cancellation, thereby opening up stock for future shipping.

I saw it as soon as the thread was posted, but just couldn't swing the $65 at the moment. I've already got a $200 bill I'll have to pay in a couple weeks after getting a head start on some Christmas shopping last month. Add in utility bills and taxes and this was one pricing error that was too expensive for me to jump on. :lol:

I'm sure this will legitimately go on sale for $80 eventually (judging by the pricing pattern of the DVD set), even if it takes a couple years. Hopefully I'll have some disposable cash squirreled away when that day comes.
