I was coming to post this. Damn good price, too bad I already have it. But I see this as the current lightning deal, it's ready active. Started at 6am PST for 5 hours.

I meant the subject line to read as an expiration date, but I might've done a lousy job at that.

Only 40% claimed with five minutes left to go. I wonder if not enough people heard about it. Saturday morning wouldn't seem the highest-traffic window.

Possibly, but this is the 6th or 7th sale for the set and it's still $10 higher than the best price.

After that many sales, I would think the people who wanted it have already gotten it and the people who just want the lowest price are going to wait until it's below triple digits again.

If I had not already got the $99 priced one (and sold all my separate BLU rays I had started collecting, but not yet opened for a profit) I would not mind paying only $10 more than the best price.

Interesting--looks like they ran it again this morning at 6 a.m. Pacific for $109.99. And again it ended up at 41% claimed.

Most of those sales, though, haven't been all that close to the $99 deal, which I think a lot of people missed out on. As Lecithin said, this is pretty competitive.

No doubt it's really competitive, but I still theorize that just about everybody who really wanted this set has bought it at $99/109/119/129 over the last 8-9 months -- most particularly when there was a Out of Print rumor 6+ months ago when people were buying them for MSRP and higher. For people that really wanted the 22 Movies I don't think a $10-20 difference was putting them off

Now most of the folks left at likely waiting for the next BEST PRICE EVER.

I remember when it was briefly unavailable at Amazon.com and there were close to 200 sellers trying to sell it at ridiculous prices. Eight months later and there are still 175 sellers who can't unload their copy.

And they're going to run it again in a couple of hours, at 64% off:

63% off = $111
64% off = $108
65% off = $105

So, presumably $109.99 again. I wish it were 67% off, but I might finally bite this time. Five bucks apiece for Blu-Ray isn't bad at all when my current Bond collection consists of about half a dozen on DVD.

Damn, less than 2 weeks later and another lightning deal on this thing? How long until it hits $74.99?
