yeah, I found out that the hard way, was going over to see a movie at Bow Tie last week and the store was closed - damn! (went to Tysons on the way home).

They must have flipped a switch in store. Used a 20% coupon yesterday, worked fine. Today a 15% wouldn't scan and I got denied. Weird.

Anyone else have coupon problems at the stores? I was planning to go pick up some Criterions I reserved at a local store but may not go if coupons are now dead.

Over on Blu-ray.com it appears to be the same crap-shoot as always. Some scan, some don't. Some cashiers will override, some won't.

Maybe I'll give it a try and see what happens. I was going to take along a $5/$50 coupon just in case they won't accept the 15% off ones. I was planning on getting at least 5 and maybe more if the store doesn't give me any problems.

Coupons did not scan at my store, but super nice older lady cashier put each one in manually. I bought three titles @ $16.67 each, including tax.

Back from the store, and success with all the coupons. Initially I picked up the 5 on reserve, but had a little trouble when I tried using the $8 blu-ray coupon for On the Waterfront. However after a little arguing over the fine print was able to use it. No problems with the 15% codes. Since that went fairly smoothly I went back for another 5 Criterions.

Picked up the following today.

Finally got in on this and bought Marketa Lazarova and used the 20% off coupon. The CSR there told me I could use the $8 off coupon if the order total is over $40. I think I might use it to get On the Waterfront and another $20 bluray.

Kind of irks me that this sale ends the week before "Seconds" will be released.

Pre-ordered Devil's Backbone a few days ago and it shipped this morning. Looks like I will have it by Tuesday.

Was able to get AMERICA LOST AND FOUND for $48.24 plus tax using 10% member discount and the $8 coupon. Tried to use both the $8 and the $5 off $50, bu the clerk would only take one coupon. This is the first time in a long time that I didn't receive a 20% off member coupon from B&N or I would have used that.

Yeah, I received an e-mail indicating that the Devil's Backbone has been delayed. Strange thing to say, since some people have already received it.

The only other item in my order, Something Wild, did ship on Tuesday. I wondered why they would ship that the day before the Devil's Backbone was due to ship.

I want Repo Man too, but I've read that a couple of scenes are missing from the actual film. For example, the Lorna Doones scene. It's included in the extras, but not in the movie.

Kinda hate buying a Criterion Blu-Ray that isn't as complete as my old VHS copy from the 80's.

Isn't this a case of scenes filmed for the TV version and that they were never actually part of the theatrical cut?
