I'm starting to see what others are complaining about. Usually my local stores keep their shelves well-stocked. But this Platinum Edition is unavailable in a dozen stores in a 150 mile radius to me. Lame; I'd rather pick it up or buy it now rather than have it shipped.

Sadly, that's just my demeanor, not the cause of some pissed off 'Merikun bravado on a holiday. I just wish people would use more logic, and not be selfish or so damn blinded by their greed. Look at those people who utterly destroyed the WB points system, taking thousands of dollars of product on a glitch. Look at the ones who took advantage of the 50 off 100 screw up at BBY, buying GIFT CARDS to other places en masse, in mass quantities.

A general 10 buck off code, non-unique and sharable, would put a company already on its death throws into a fuckin' coma. We already get a steal of a deal on Upgrade & Save, and even that is dying out since media sections are shrinking almost universally.

I would hope this would be general knowledge in this forum, but BBY online only shows available at the store if there are MORE THAN TWO COPIES. Call or go to the store with the SKU. Have them look it up on their system. They can see what the actual inventory is for that store and the surrounding stores in your area.

I just assumed there were no copies within 100 miles, but after reading your post I decided to check my local Best Buy store this evening. sure enough there was one copy sitting on the shelf - with the sale tag on full display no less. I'm so happy I was able to pick it up at that great price

Thank you for the post. I did not see it until today and figured I had missed out, especially when I checked availability in all my local stores and it showed unavailable. I happen to be out of town for the holiday weekend and on a whim checked local stores. Much to my surprise the only store showing stock within 100 miles was less than a mile from my hotel. Sure enough they had a couple on the shelf! Here I sit with my $17.99 copy. Now to get home and pop it into the blu ray player. If you are in the Wichita area the West Wichita store had at least one left as of 15 minutes ago
