I just recently listed 166 single titles on ebay. All starting at 1 cent. All but 22 sold, so there is some reasonable demand for dvd's still. I think It averaged about 4$ per sale.

I still have a few DVDs I would like to dump, so depending on how much money I have, I guess I will participate once again.

However, my local Best Buy has scaled back on their catalogue selection of BDs. You won't find much of anything. I went the other day and some of the shelves were practically bare.

There are quite a few decent new releases coming out during the timeframe of this promotion. Hopefully they will be at reasonable prices.

In addition to the link above, I'd also mention that Blurays with eight digit SKU numbers are online only and not in store.

And do not trust the website as they list some items not sold in store when in actuality you can find these items in the store.

Then use Expresslane v(big YMMV) or buy them online and then return/rebuy during U&S. I would stop by BBY with list of SKUs in hand to make sure they won't raise in price before the promo ends. Just get a BBY CSR to look them up on their computer. The computer will indicate if it is a sale price and what date the sale ends.

Yes, if the SKU online is 8 digits, then don't even try it with that one.

I'm excited for the upgrade and save on the mobile phone upgrade check. I lost track of how many times I had them check my phone # the last time. It's best go go with friends and family during that promo and have everyone's phones checked. Lots of phones = lots of coupons!

I think I'm going to try to make it work this time. My theatrical LOTR DVDs are due for an upgrade, maybe my X-Men movies too if the prices are right.

I was in a store today on my lunch and noticed a bunch of TV seasons on Blu on sale for $19.99 (Shameless S1, South Park, 24, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Supernatural and more). Tags state the sale prices are good through 5/4, so ought to be some nice overlap for those who're looking for deals on them.

All those Paramount titles licensed by Warner are now getting multi-pack releases, so that could mean another good run of 2-3 titles for $5-10 per set.

The wife wants Grease / Saturday Night Fever and Forrest Gump / Green Mile, so that may be a way to get her on the same page with me when it comes to U&S.

I had trouble last time when they were just starting the thinning process. Last time I was in store there were entire sections, what are they 4' x 5'?, that had 3 or 4 discs on them. I have a hundred DVD's I'd let go for this but probably won't find 2 I want.

Just curious: Is Shopkick still giving out the BB GC's as ones not usable on-line, or did they revert back to the regular GC format?

I'm sure something will come up, but I'm not too excited about this U&S. Alot of repeats and TV sets, but not too much I want. Here is what i saw:

Many 3D titles are 19.99 and some are 14.99. I didn't see any 14.99 3D titles that have not been 14.99 during previous U&S (Journey to Center of the Earth, Journey 2, Clash of the Titans, etc). I think one or both of the Harry Potter 3D titles was 14.99 again.

Alot of the same 9.99 titles that were in B1G1. Some others, but the only one I was really interested in was Coyote Ugly.
