Thanks for the price history. This is pretty much a non-sale.

Dollhouse seasons were $7.99 each at FoxConnect 2 BFs ago, and Buffy (the movie) was $4.99 at BB during U&S. Pretty much anyone who wanted these shows over the last year should already have bought them at much lower prices. This deal might interest newbie BD collectors who missed the prior deals. Actually true collectors normally start when a format is young so there really shouldn't be any newbie collectors. You either are or aren't a collector, though when you buy is a function of price and backlog.

Actually they were 7.99 last BF. They were 13.00 2 BFs ago, but could be gotten for 10.50 with the coupon ;)

I am constantly surprised by people buying things that have been significantly cheaper in the past. I think those that monitor these forums as much as me or you are in the minority and sometimes these deals do appeal to a few. Though I do appreciate price history, because anything that's been on sale as much as Dollhouse will likely be cheaper in the future, if one is willing to wait.

I was never in a position to buy Dollhouse Season 2 when it has previously been on sale, but this "sale" price is not very appealing to me. Oh well. I'm in no hurry.

Heh, I'm in the market to buy Dollhouse Season 2 on blu as well, and this sale was just pathetic in that regard. $15 (including shipping) would have been enough but I guess not.

I am surprised too, but I should be less surprised by now. Slickdeals helps prove that when I see people freak out over the same or worse deals over and over. You mention prior prices on SD and you get a slew of comments about time machines rather than "thanks for telling me... I think I'll wait for the price to go down then since it has been cheaper before". Over time I'm learning that people like us are rare and most people are spur-of-the-moment living-on-the-edge (financially) people who impulse buy without checking prices rather than do research and wait for good prices. They also don't save their receipts or enter them into a spreadsheet but immediately chuck receipts in the trash, rip open the shrinkwrap, and throw all their boxes and instructions in the trash. Only fools such as I try to organize, and at least those disorganized people enjoy things more than I do because while they're busy partying or watching movies I'm online checking stuff or entering things into spreadsheets or organizing stuff. The more people I talk to, the more I realize I'm in the minority. I meet people who say they play 20 hours of online games per week, and I can't even get in 2 hours a week and I have huge backlogs.

The best (and saddest part) is though I got all of these series and movies for the cheapest prices long ago, I only broke the shrinkwrap on Firefly and only made it through 2 episodes. Dollhouse S1 and S2 on BD will probably be $3 before I ever get around to them. I have Netflix and watch 1 or 2 movies on it per week, so I'm not even making a dent in my movie backlog. I blame work for my lack of time. I can't wait to go there in a couple more hours. Nothing I'd rather do and no place I'd rather be. NOT.

Maybe you'd have more time for games and movies if you weren't online checking stuff or entering things into spreadsheets or organizing stuff?

I buy my blu-rays and immediately throw away the receipt (as it's paid with a card, they should be able to pull it up if there's a problem). When I get home, I input it into DVDProfiler (with no pricing information, because what does it really matter?), and then store it alphabetically. That takes all of 10 seconds.

I finally bit on Dollhouse season 2 as a Black Friday deal, but it was also priced pretty well in the UK last time I checked (for the full series, I believe).

Dollhouse was amazing, picked it up last BF for $7.99 each. Still waiting for a good deal on Firefly and guess I am going to keep waiting at these prices.

Odd, no Avengers. You'd think Avengers would reel people in and they may look at his other stuff. Instead, they are marketing the sale to people who already likely own everything.

It's probably just a Fox sale.
