Got my first order of 11 in today. Had to clean three for smudges. There were no scratches, and the cases look great. I'm very pleased with the site.

Re: Low prices on PV blu-ray at Family Video

Just a heads up, be careful ordering Expendables 2. I got a rental copy, so no features or lossless audio. I do have a Hastings close to me, I'm going to see if I can trade it in there and get some store credit for it. Not getting my hopes up though.

Sorry, I didn't see nboss87's post earlier in the thread.

+1

Some of my rather large order arrived in trashy condition. It was pretty disappointing.

Guess you can slot that nicely into the empty slot on the Bond 50 set.

Got my order today of: Ted, Fire with Fire, and Chernobyl Diaries.
None appear to be 'Rental' editions. Ted cover says Unrated Blu-Ray, DVD, Digital Copy & Ultraviolet but is only the Unrated Blu-ray disc in a 2 disc case.
All in great shape and good cases.

I ordered Bourne Legacy and TDKR. From the track record of ordering from them, hoping its the retail copy and not get thrown a curve.

I think you may have to go to the special features menu to toggle to the theatrical version. That's how Universal does it. I don't own Ted myself so others can chime in..

Can you confirm if Dredd lost the 3D and the HD audio?

Since they sell UV codes on their website it seems unlikely they get rental versions.

Re: Low prices on PV blu-ray at Family Video

So I ordered a NEW blu from them last week and when it arrived it had a 2 inch cut through the back of the case through the UPC and a new UPC sticker covering it up. The movie was only $6 and free shipping so I'm not sure I want to go through the hassle of exchanging it. But now I'm skeptical of buying anything else from them. Has anyone experienced anything like this with them before?

Anyone order Savages? Is it the rental version with no unrated cut?

Re: Low prices on PV blu-ray at Family Video

I ordered a few titles from this sale and each one was smudged to some extent. They cleaned up ok, but it surprised me they looked like that.

I am familiar with one of the FV stores and they clean every rental disc before it goes out the door. I've bought a few used discs from that locations and they even put them thru their cleaning machine before they put them in an amray case and hand it over. I guess not all locations are as finicky about the condition of their discs.

Quite a few titles have dropped even more in price. For example, The Master is down to $6.99.

The Blu-ray is worth it for that price. Absolutely fantastic picture quality and the first 65mm film production in many years from Hollywood. Full 1080P Screenshots are available here:
