there were more, but I don't recall what they were. One had Alexander and 300, plus another movie, maybe Gladiator? don't recall.

I think it was "Troy" (not Gladiator)

Thanks guys! I have to xmas shop this weekend so I am hoping they still have the goonies/gremlins pack and the troy/300/Alexander one. If I can get them I will be glad I have passed on the singles multiple times.

Lord of the Rings is the theatricals I assume?

Yes.

Also look out that some of these stands are buried back where you do online pickup orders and not in electronics with other discs.

The Goonies & Gremlins pack is tempting despite the fact I already own Goonies (but that one would be easily re-sold by itself). But LOTR (and it has to be the theatricals) would be a steal at $9. I'm still trying to get my wife to watch the movies and all I own is the extended marathons :). Maybe I can ease her into it.

Edit: Walmart Online seems to put the LOTR theatrical pack at $20. Like the cover though.

These were also available:
Austin Powers International Man of Mystery/The Spy Who Shagged Me/Goldmember
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid/The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly/The Magnificent Seven
Delta Force/Missing In Action/Missing In Action 2
The Hangover/The Hangover Part II/Due Date

I was thinking about the Goonies/Gremlins/Gremlins 2, but put it down to look at something else and when I came back, it was gone. Turned out to be the last copy. :(

Yes, and it's even better than 1, IMO.

In addition to those mentioned above, there was also a threefer with "American History X/History of Violence/True Romance." These were great deals and saved a lot of shelf space since the three separate discs were housed in a normal size case. They were placed in large cardboard display stands in the middle of high-traffic aisles at my local Walmart, not necessarily near the electronics area. I suspect they are long gone by now.

I was pretty pleased to get this one a couple weeks ago. I already have Goonies on Blu, but it's worth owning again to get the two Gremlins flicks.

Thanks!

I too got the theatricals (got'em when they were 7$ or so singles on AZ) on the idea that "my god the movies are long enough". Then I realized that for something I watch maybe once a year as a marathon anyway...why not do it the "right" way?

That western 3fer looks good too....but the Goonies/Gremlins one is my prime target. I'll probably spend all day looking for it when I should be shopping.

And yes, Gremlins 2 is great, better than 1. JMO.
