If you mean the digibooks, probably not earlier than midnight Pacific time.

Well, the deal of the day is not bad but is lukewarm. The digibooks are, for the most part, 50% off list price, which is decent for the ones that haven't dropped before. Deliverance and The Town were cheaper last week (when I picked up The Town for $14.99; Deliverance was the same).

I was anticipating they'd all be around the $14.99 mark, or slightly less.

Bought Meet me in St. Louis with $5 Facebook Coupon.

Also on Sunday, there's going to be Amazon Movies & TV Deals

Not great, but I am so tired of waiting for A Streetcar Named Desire I think I am going to jump on it anyway.

Meet Me in St. Louis is going to have to wait though.

50% off list is not as low as I had hoped. Going to pass.

I'm just going with the UK steelbook of Streetcar - it's only $15, uses the original poster art, and will take up less space.

For The Town, they show a picture of the two disc digibook, but designate the Ultimate Collector's Edition, which is actually a lot more than that. I highly recommend it for fans of the film.

I am also disappointed in the DigiBook deal but I applied the Facebook coupon and basically got Deliverance and Unforgiven for $13.74 each shipped no tax. At the end of the day, I can live with that.

No change in price for PAPILLON Digibook? Why is this one never discounted?

The Town digibook IS the UCE content. It was released at the same time as the UCE box set (as a Best Buy exclusive). However, it obviously contains none of the box set trinkets, just the discs in a digibook packaging.

You may have to have them order it for store pickup if you want to pick it up since I haven't seen it in store in a long time
Thanks, HS. I guess I've waited this long, I can wait some more. Haven't paid over $10.99 for a Digibook yet and often less, so kinda sorta have my threshold. I guess this title isn't much of a seller that they can afford to discount it.

Re: Amazon Holiday DOTD's for 12/2 to 12/10

call me stupid for asking...I know I have done this before but I have forgotten and paid the penalty for it recently when the lightning deal for Sherlock Holmes passed by in a split second.

the above link posted lists the lightning deals schedule. when you click on a product link in that list, it takes you to the product page. How do I proceed from there to the lightning deal price for checking out ? which is the view in which you 'claim' the purchase ? sorry, am a little light headed this morning and am not drunk. TIA

Re: Amazon Holiday DOTD's for 12/2 to 12/10

^The *easiest* way is to use the Black Friday deals link, which will tell you about next year but also show all the Lightning Deals for the day (down the page a bit). Change the "Category" to "Movies & TV" to narrow down the list and wait for the sale to go live. The "Add to Cart" button will automatically appear when the sale goes live.

Hard way: Go to the product page, hit "refresh" starting a few seconds before it goes live, and keep refreshing the page until the LD "Add to Cart" button appears.

Prices must not be good enough. Ben Hur Gift set for about $24 only sold about 8% . I got it last year during the Best Buy Black Friday craziness.

Tuesday prices are not much better than what has been on sale at Best Buy, Costco, J and R., and Amazon Market Place. In several cases the prices have been cheaper.

The Universe Mega set for under $38 is a good price but it SD not BD.

Re: Amazon Holiday DOTD's for 12/2 to 12/10

All of Amazon's "Lightning Deals" are only a 2-3 bucks cheaper than what they are selling for anyway. I would love to see Amazon's numbers this holiday season. I'd be surprised if they did as well as last year with their lame strategies like this.
