This is usually the best time to pick the less popular HBO shows. I've been holding off buying Treme Season 2 as this will be the best price if the sale happens again.

I think I got the first two Batman steelbooks for $5 each, after the U&S coupons, and they each came with $5 towards TDKR in theaters (so I basically convinced myself they were free). Not saying I expect a new release steelbook to be anywhere near that price, but it certainly makes me want to wait it out.

I see a distinct difference between the "re-release" steelbooks that Best Buy has been selling cheap for months (older movies) vs new releases.
I have bought steelbooks for Snow White and the Huntsman, The Amazing Spider-Man and Underworld: Awakening recently, and I have not seen any of them in stores since release week.

I have them in store already and will be putting on shelves 12/4.. 12/20 is a Thursday and I can't honestly recall when the last Thursday release was. Legacy is still 12/11 as far as I know.

I don't have any of the 3 Batman films on BD, so this is tempting, but I wish it were in a slimmer case. I would hate to get it and then see a "triple feature" set in a single size case.

looks like the exclusive documentary for Dark Knight Rises is a download only and not an extra disc or exclusive content to exisiting. hopefully, i am dead wrong.

If that's the case, then I will not buy this now. The only reason I'd pay $24.99 for this steelbook is if it has a bonus disc. If it is download only, I'll wait for the inevitable bargain.

What makes you say that? User reports in the HD Talk thread for this release confirm that the doc is on the extras disc and not a download.
