Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
Can anyone post a link to the main lightning deal page? I can never find it anymore. There used to be a clearly marked link on the main page. Probably still is but I can't see it.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
Ugh. I missed the Lightning Deal on Blacklist Season 4 Blu Ray. As in I was busy and didn't login to see price. Before I have remorse for missing it, did anyone see the price? If it wasn't low enough then I don't care missed it.

Not sure if it was S4, but I saw a Blacklist for around $23 I think.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
The third season of Rick and Morty is $9.99, pricematching Walmart.

It's not a complete list, but it's the first few hours' worth of deals.

Prime Day has really become Amazon's excuse to dump last year's Amazon hardware in preparation for the upcoming Fall reset. It's a triumph of marketing over real sales.

I picked up a couple slightly discounted editions of anime series I'd been looking at, and am watching a couple more deals to see where they end up, but nothing amazing is jumping out at me yet.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
The above link doesn’t work for me.
Since my trigger point for 4k discs is $15 I picked up The Matrix, Blade Runner 2049, and La La Land.
It’s sneaky of Amazon to only show sale prices at checkout to prevent price tracking sites like 3Camel from triggering.

I'm watching the Hitchcock box, but I'm doubting it will drop low enough for me to bite. I need to spend at least $10 to get a $20 credit.
At least on Mozilla related products (& on Opera), the main Prime page is hosed. It just goes in a loop.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
Interesting point.
The page does say, at the top, "buy any of these and get it for 14.99" - it might be easier to code that way than to change each page.
Or it could be a way to foil CCC.
I saw one title in 4k I was going to pick up, but I could get it and its prequel in BD combo pack for less than the cost of the 4k.
I wish there was still a decent trade-in market for DVDs and Blurays - most of the titles I would in 4k, either have reviews saying "not really a 4k", or I own and just recently watched the bluray.
And that is a pretty good deal on Potter. Even the bluray set is good - less than 30 bucks for the whole series, combo packs.
[Edit - it appears the Bluray set is Bluray only, no combo; the DVD is DVD only; the 4k is 4k and Bluray, and digital copy.]
Of course they (Amazon and the publishers) are probably approaching fire sale prices - low prices to get the few remaining people who a) like physical media and b) don't have these titles yet, to pick them up. For me it would be a partial upgrade and rebuy, I've got movies 1-4 on DVD or BD, and it seems like at least some of them are always on one of the cable channels.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
Tried to a little regular shopping at Amazon today (both U.S. and Canada). I could search stuff, but kept hitting a "something went wrong at our end" error page whenever I tried to log in or view my cart. For hours! Heard on the radio news that it's because of Prime Day, of course, which I'd forgotten all about since I don't have it or need it. Must be getting hammered this year, or perhaps just blocking us unwashed commoners for the time being. Guess I'll have to wait a while to do any normal shopping.

Edit: LOL - the edition I got last time is a prime day deal now. The 6-movie was a deal yesterday.
