Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule

Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I do have a 56 inch DLP 1080P TV sitting in storage that we don't really need now that we have a projector. I guess maybe I'll make that a Christmas present for her family as well

Eventually. But it might be longer than you'd think. Every one I've owned has lasted 20+ years and was usually replaced for no other reason than to get a larger screen.

Look for a old, used, Blu-ray player that has composite or component outputs, Sony made a few, or get a HDMI-component adapter. I held on to my 32" CRT for no other reason than I couldn't see replacing it since it still worked. I wanted to get into Blu-ray but by that time new players had only HDMI outputs and my TV had only component/composite inputs. I was looking into purchasing an adapter when a coworker upgraded and gave me his old Sony player, which has component outputs. It's slow (some discs take 5 minutes to load) and can no longer be updated rendering other discs unplayable, but it does the trick. Or did do the trick. Last year I picked up a new "region free" player and the Sony sits there as a backup. At least they could play the discs, even though they'd not see much of an improvement over DVD.

Maybe you should just talk her into springing for a new TV this BF. There'll be some super deals on sets she'd be more than happy with. Offer to purchase them a player for Christmas if they'll upgrade their TV.

One of Amazon's "Deal of the day":
Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection - $35.99. According to CCC that's the lowest it's been.

Keep in mind you can often get it for much less from Amazon.uk - today in fact. $20.77 after removal of VAT, adding shipping, and using Amazon's currency converter.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

A nice selection of horror-themed Criterions are on sale at Amazon. B&N and Criterion's sales undoubtedly beat these prices by a bit, but these are reasonable:

$20.00
PAN'S LABYRINTH
THE BLOB
THE INNOCENTS
KURONEKO
EYES WITHOUT A FACE
CARNIVAL OF SOULS
CAT PEOPLE
KWAIDAN

$18.88
THE UNINVITED

Heavy rumor that a more complete set with all the films is coming in 2018 for those interested.

That would probably make sense, as the Legacy sets have hit ....

I believe it will have all of the movies, as they have not released all of the legacy sets.

They need to release individual BR Legacy sets of "The Invisible Man" and "Creature from the Black Lagoon" first... or at least concurrently.

I'd like to know when those two might drop...

Ehhh? A new 4K remaster and new interviews with Reiner and Greg Nicotero and all the extras from the previous SE DVD aren’t that great?

What more did you want?

Pre-Ordered. But everybody should keep an eye on this as the weeks go by. Last time with Dawn of the Dead, Best Buy ended up beating the price by over a dollar before the release date. Been a lot of good deal on Scream new releases lately.

Holy crap. These are steals at those prices. I so regret paying like $50 a pop for most of them. Great sets but I never imagined they’d get that low. I might grab the third season of Enterprise. I only have the first but it’s cheap and I can get the other two down the line.

Thanks, looks like they're PM'ing Target. I'll pick it up there for the RedCard discount.

I'm not sure about that. Best Buy has "Dawn" for 22.99 and it releases on Tuesday. On the other hand, Deep Discount also had it for 14.99, but with a 15% off coupon I was able to get it for $12.74.

Update: Deal's over for now, -it's back up to 21.99.
Another Update: It's back down to 15.48

Amazon has price matched Best Buy's price for The Sopranos: Complete Series. It's $49.99.
