Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

It's not like they really needed to. What sort of idiot brightens a night scene, especially for a show known to have lots of night scenes? It's like the people doing the release didn't bother to watch any episodes of the show beforehand, and neither did the executives who approved the result.

The problem is having spent the money it's almost certain Fox won't spend even more money fixing it and destroying stock of the bad discs. What happened to Buffy is reminiscent of what happened to Babylon 5.

Whats crazy is all of the work was already done. The show has notes on every episode being set up for wide screen by the principal director of photography. They always assumed it'd eventually be converted so the show was shot with cropping in mind. Fox never went back to Mutant Enemy and consulted anyone from the show. ME said they'd have handed it over freely because it now makes them look bad seeing their names attached to a shitty product. FOX outsourced to (I think) a French company so they could air the show in HD in international markets where it's still popular.

Netflix is now using that transfer, as is some FX affiliate stations.

Wait until Amazon UK has it for under $30 shipped. Me and a bunch of folks snagged it for about $27 shipped.

Does this affect the DVD version too or just the BD?

Buffy isn't available on blu-ray anywhere as far as I know.

The DVDs are how the show is supposed to look (fullscreen, proper color/lighting), even though the picture quality isn't all that great.

The widescreen transfers (which were released on DVD outside of the US) open up the imag on the sides and present some things like equipment and crew members that weren't supposed to be seen, though even the 4:3 versions will occasionally reveal stuff, too.

I recall watching the series live and remember thinking how soft the picture looked. So if the DVDs aren't that great of picture quality I don't think the show was either.

I'm not a fan but my partner is...he was watching them in HD on Pivot.
I just remember he was saying "wow, why can't they release them on blu-ray with this quality?"

Why wouldn't Pivot have the botched transfers?

Buffy might have been one of those series that was shot on film, but edited on tape like Star Trek TNG or X-Files.

I had read that some people that bought the 10th bonus disc set had problem with sound syncing; any truth to that?

Amazon Canada has the Rodgers and Hammerstein Box for about $32 shipped to the USA. The package is bilingual.

Krampus is a fun movie for the Halloween season. I was surprised how much I liked it considering its cast usually does nothing for me.

Kate Beckinsale's fans should definitely pick up Stonehearst Asylum at that price. It's not a half-bad movie seeing her in a period flick.

Man, its a Millennium release - which means future potential as a $1 offering in Dollar Tree or $3 in BigLots. In the meantime, will catch it on Netflix (available for streaming) to justify a purchase
