Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

It wouldn't be worth 79˘, much less $79.
It must have been your player. I use it on a couple devices (iPad, Xbox 360, PS3, and a wireless Sony Blu Ray player) and can pause, fast forward, rewind, etc. It even has a handy resume feature, so if you turn it off in the middle, you go right back to that spot when you fire it back up. The only thing I'm not sure on is the subtitles, but I would assume it has those as well. They also have a ton of HD content now too. I'm watching Justified now and love it.

But that $79 could be spent on something else instead, like actual movies.

I'm loathe to pay shipping on anything either, but $16 a year for prime is something not even I can balk over. Totally worth it.

He just seems to spend a lot of time and stomach lining on finding deals, and Prime could solve some of that. But some people like shopping for deals, which is totally fine with me. He doesn't seem to enjoy it, though, just based on what he posts.

I can use subtitles/captioning on my 360, though it's possible it could vary by title.

You're sharing your membership with 5 different people? Are all 5 people able to take advantage of the streaming as well, or just the Primary member?

Only the primary member is able to stream. I just get the two-day shipping. I'm completely okay with that, as I'm not big on streaming for the most part. I'll watch something on Netflix occassionally, and mainly keep that streaming for my wife. Otherwise, I've got 2000+ films in the library to pick from, and discs sent from Netflix as well.

re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Can someone please tell me whether the Network Blu-Ray that is $6.99 has all the special features of the older version? I was hoping it was just a repackage but the Amazon details claim no special features. Thanks!

According to Barnes & Noble, the new version has the following special features-

Special Features

Thanks I didn't see that but listing also says it's pan & scan so i'm not sure i'm convinced. Just looked at BB and Ebay listings and no mention of the special features- google didn't turn anything up either. Anyone who owns it care to weigh in- would like to upgrade my dvd but want those extras.

Amazon rarely lists the special features. Sometimes user reviews will give the details, but the Amazon listing itself is rarely accurate regarding features. It's funny, cuz their Electronics are VERY detailed in every way. But DVD's and BD's are not...

You can view a picture of the back of the Blu-ray at DVDEmpire.com:

Sorry, wrong version but I think they are the same content-wise except for a slipcover. Here is the information from WBShop.com (click on Details tab):

re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Thanks Sandman! I've been googling and looking at stores all day with no real luck- info has been all over the place (I'm mad as hell and i'm not gonna take this anymore!). I didn't think of the wb shop. Appreciate it. It makes sense that it would just be same blu-ray with new cover but you never know with these home video companies...

I would imagine they're doing this instead of the coupon. It's listed on the Movies & TV deal page:

Up to 50% off "Monsters University"

See "Monsters University" in theaters now and pre-order it on 3D Blu-ray and Blu-ray Combo Pack today.
Expires on Jul 11, 2013

Dumb question: without a coupon anyone ordering this will get the lowest price up through release date whether they order it now (while $29.99) or later (when it reverts to a higher price for a while), so what is the point in this "promo" with the preorder guarantee? Unless people think that all stores will be charging more than $29.99 on release day and $29.99 is the lowest it'll get. If that's it, then $29.99 is still several dollars too high for me. If it's $29.99 for the 3D, I need at least a $7 coupon from Disney. My limit on a new release Disney 3D BD is about $25 including tax. So I'll be passing on this as I see no point in ordering it now.

That's not necessarily true. For example, the price dips $10 Sunday afternoon but Monday it's back up and never drops again till release day. If you order it Tuesday, you won't get the $10 discount from the Sunday before.

As usual, Amazon is PMing BBY. According to the BBY signs in store, this price is valid until 8/17 so I'm waiting until U&S to purchase this and Samsara for $7.99 each.
