Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule

What a stupid system, when a 'Fulfilled by Amazon' seller shows up as the main price on the page, even though they're more expensive than a straight amazon sale.

That happens when Amazon is out of stock, you can still order it from them, it will just take longer.

It's a brilliant system for Amazon. When they run out of stock they switch to another seller with a higher price. You have to pay attention.

I realize that. I just would like to see amazon's pricing when I see the main price on a page.

It's similar when sorting by price. It would be nice if there was an option to only sort according to amazon's price, and not third party sellers.

Thanks, I try to be helpful for people new to the site or those unaware of Amazon's policy.

Personally, I don't think the policy is good or bad. If Amazon defaulted to their own every time, there would likely be those complaining that it defaults to OOS items. I'm a patient person (especially for Season 2 when Season 1 is on the way), so I'll (almost) always wait longer to get it directly from Amazon.

re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I was never expecting good prices. The same thing happened the last time they pushed a bunch of titles out the door on the same date. (Rescuers, Pocohontas, Aristocats, etc.). Several places didn't put them on sale at all, which is why I waited for them all to become enrollments for DMC. Looks like I'll be doing that again.

re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Disney has no interest in aggressively pricing their Blu-rays anymore during release week. I do think we might start seeing more sales of their catalog product in the future, to move old stock.

Last time around they were sub $20... $25 is criminal.

Only after amazon coupon. And that was only becuase Amazon went crazy with giving coupons for every Disney release during that time, in an attempt to match the coupons disney was putting out themselves, only Disney didn't put out any coupons for that release. As such, Amazon has gotten similarly more stingy with their coupons, which I expected. The cheapest any of the releases could be found at retail last time was 22.99, and several stores had them at 29.99 on release.

Doesn't mean I like the way this release is being handled, but it's not completely unexpected.

re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Best Buy had $8 off when buying 2 IIRC (which I got Amazon to PM together with the coupons they had )
Not too interested in these Disney releases though. Might try DMC down the road eventually.

re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Everyone please keep reporting the $22.99 Target prices! I tried to cancel my order this morning on Amazon (my blu preorders usually don't even enter the shipping soon phase until Monday morning) and I couldn't. $22.99 would be easier than refusing the shipment.

Yes, for those willing to deal with the hassle, the Disney Movie Club is the best way to get Disney BDs inexpensively. I got two copies of Mulan for $9.08 each (shipped on March 7th) as commitments for a DMC membership. The other new releases next week would have been the same price.

DMC even has The Avengers available for enrollment; I was surprised to see it as an enrollment so soon.

I'm getting close to becoming willing to deal with the hassle since I want these 3 new BD sets and there are enough other Disney BDs I haven't gotten that I have enough for an enrollment. That task is getting near the top of my list, but I won't be able to do it before these BDs are released this week. I just have to check the DMC thread, find the right code, and I guess cancel my existing membership first and then submit online?

Correct me if I'm wrong... DMC never sells any of their BDs (especially as commitments) for $9.08 each. That figure is your overall averaged cost across your enrollments + commitments. So how much are Brother Bear, Mulan, and Hunchback as commitments at DMC? $24.99 each I'd assume. Besides doing my taxes, I've need to do DVD2BLU too soon. I hate having such a long to-do list.

Correct. But I recently cancelled my account back in Jan. and can still log in. So I just re-signed up with a different email address over the phone. Not that signing up one way or another matters other than a better selection if doing it over the phone.

Someone over at another site said that Mulan was $29.95(which lizard confirmed). So I would assume the others would be the same price.

This months selection of the month is two of those three titles you mentioned for $39.95(?). Can not remember which two it was though. But they would only count as one commitment, which still would not be a bad deal if you can get free shipping which lizard said he was able to do.
