Criterion sale at bestbuy.com & amazon

There is a Criterion sale at bestbuy.com & amazon. On bestbuy.com, seems like all titles are either $17.99 or $20.99. Amazon so far is price matching some of the titles but not all.

Are there any other $14.99 ones besides SOMETHING WILD?

There's a few at BB. Search for Criterion, filter by Blu-ray, and sort by price.

Amazon does have several titles priced from about $17.99 on up. Brazil is $20.99 for the preorder.

Something Wild is the only one at $14.99 with a list of $39.95. The other $14.99 ones are listed at $29.99...good prices, but standard for the B&N 1/2 off and occasional half-off directly from Criterion. Great pre-order price on Brazil. --Peter

Perfect isn't it...just as the B&N sale is ending, these pop up to encourage us to part with more cash!

I can't see Brazil being cheaper than Amazon's current $20.99 price though - it would be $30 from B & N during the 40% sale before coupons and sales tax, and even with a 30% coupon, would be $20.00 plus tax, making Amazon's price still the lowest.

Re: Criterion sale at bestbuy.com & amazon

A heads up ... many of the Criterion titles that didn't have the big discount at Amazon to begin with are being price adjusted as the day goes on. For example, House was a title I had my eye on. A couple of hours ago it was $28. Now it's another $17.99 one.

So if you want to shop at Amazon but don't see at least a 50% discount ... hold on and keep checking.

Re: Criterion sale at bestbuy.com & amazon

Just canceled my Brazil BN pre-order @50% Sale pricing to reorder on Amazon. Decided not to do the same for The Following since it was only a difference of $1.xx.

Trying to not go crazy though, but ordered 3 Women, Rashomon, In the Mood for Love, and Robinson Crusoe on Mars.

Damn, just when I thought I was done with Black Friday for this year, they pull me back in. Sigh. Went for CHARADE and 81/2, the latter mercifully OOS so I won't be charged right away for it!

Thanks to Budster for starting this thread.

Well, bad news is that I've finally found the max item limit for my Amazon shopping cart. You can only have 50 items in your cart at any one time... the question is do I pull the trigger...

If you don't pull the trigger how will you ever add more items to buy? Go for it!

Move them by clicking on the "Save for Later" button. You can have 500 items there, and have price updates whenever you visit your Cart - which you should do multiple times per day to feed our collective OCD ...

Just Fear & Loathing for me. I thought I already had it but I can't seem to find it in my collection.

Seems like Criterions are really becoming devalued. More frequent B&N sales, other retailers getting in the act, price matching, etc.

The semi-annual B&N sales ain't what they used to be.

Re: Criterion sale at bestbuy.com & amazon

Is the 40% off BN sale just a coupon? So MSRP $39.99 Criterions would be $23.99?

No. One of B&N's regular sales is 40% off all Blu-rays, not just Criterions.
