DeepDiscount.com Black Friday Sale (11/20-11/25)

Before you guys start bitching and moaning, there are some good deals to be had. Looks like there's some big discounts on all Kino titles. I'm four pages in and picked up Fear and Desire for $14, The Grapes of Wrath for $13.90, Ken Burns: The Dust Bowl for $9, and Gone in 60 Seconds for $8.74

Re: DeepDiscount.com Black Friday Sale (11/20-11/25)

Actually, some of the better deals seem to be on titles which are *not* part of the "marked" BF sale. If I read the header correctly titles with the http://resources1.deepdiscount.com/r...ckFriday12.jpg image are what's part of the sale. (Before ~7am) Every item that *has* that icon seems to have a terrible price! (Now it's a select few which have the icon and don't have what I would call a "sale" price).

*EDIT* - Looks like they're still adding stuff/getting things worked out. As I was looking over the KINO titles the BF icon suddenly appeared on all the titles. Comments above in parenthesis are part of this edit... *END EDIT*

I've found several titles that are less expensive now than during the recent "25% off" sale.

As you mention, the KINO titles, but they're on a separate sale:

Also Legend titles (although many of those look to be somewhat "normal" prices for those titles at DD):

If you're a fan of Chuck Norris and JCVD action films, they have the lowest prices going, period, with each new BD release marked at $7.40. Of course, a free shipping code would be nice.

I take that back. Here is a free shipping coupon link. It will take you to the DD site and auto add the code.

The Monroe titles are almost low enough at $11.10 each - does anyone know of any active coupons?

So I don't get the 10% off on this order, but on another one? Does anyone happen to have an extra 10% code?

Aren't all the Monroe titles included in the "Forever Marilyn" set? You can find that for $35 at BBY or $25 at Costco.

Yes, but the packaging has received terrible reviews and I already have 4 of the 7 titles included.

Terrible deals on blu's. I haven't shopped at DeepDiscount since I stopped buying DVDs 4 years ago.

Whoa! I nearly, very nearly bought Die Nibelungen a few days ago, but held off as I tried to find a low-cost book to bring me over $25, since it cost $20.xx. Now it's $15.50! Yes!

Chris-K 11-20-12 10:09 AM

Re: DeepDiscount.com Black Friday Sale (11/20-11/25)

WTF? It's just jumped from $15.50 to $20.66 in the space of a few minutes.

It was $20.66 last night when I checked. It must have been $15.50 for just a short while. I bought it last week for $20.78....now I don't feel so bad!

They show Buster Keaton's The General Blu-Ray as "[2 Disc]"... that's incorrect, right? I can't find any mention of a second disc anywhere else.

It was only on certain items and would not have stacked with today's sale I can assure you. The new sale began as the old one ended.

Really nice prices on the Daimajin Collection, 42nd Street Forever, The Stuntman, the Bava stuff (Lisa, Hatchet, Black Sunday) and some of the Redemption discs.

Anyone know which edition of The French Connection this is? They don't provide a picture:

The UPC says it's the new one.

They actually did overlap a bit this morning. I had a couple of items I was looking at and when I took a few minutes to get coffee and change computers the prices jumped up the amount an extra 25% would have removed. :( Oh well... the prices on those titles even *after* that happened are *still* better than they were on the 25% off sale.

Doesn't appear to take off shipping.

Decent prices on some of the Jean Rollin titles at $10+ but I'm not sure which ones to get. Was thinking THE IRON ROSE, FASCINATION and LIPS OF BLOOD. Any Rollin fans have an opinion?

I can't imagine these are big sellers for Kino. I wonder if their prices will continue to drop off in time. Kino holds its value though so maybe not.

Some great prices on Kino/Redemption and Synapse blus

Anyone who doesn't already own the 42nd St. Forever disc should buy it immediately - $8.98 for almost four hours of trailers is just insane, and a commentary to boot!

Re: DeepDiscount.com Black Friday Sale (11/20-11/25)

Agree with NoirFan. I love my 42nd St. Forever disc. These Redemption and Synapse prices are great. I have most of them and paid quite a bit more for them.
