OK....it must be an imbedded image? Something at my work is blocking it.

This. There is plenty of BF deals that I want, but if Amazon doesn't match, its not worth the hassle for me.

Amazon only PMs some of the deals, and the only way I find out which titles is if I check deal threads and other people post those titles. I have no idea how others discover the unadvertised price drops or PMs on Amazon unless they are frequently monitoring certain titles and refreshing their browsers (which I don't have time to do).

Put what you want in your amazon cart, then you only have to occasionally refresh that page as it notifies you of price drops.

I did just that for the season sets of different TV shows I've been eyeing.

Or alternatively, use blu-ray.com's deals section, click on the "Newest Deals" tab and periodically refresh.

It should be noted that in the BF Best Buy thread, someone obtained a list of all items that would be on sale, and Louie: S2 was on there for $7.99.

Have no idea if that list is legit and if it is, if Amazon would price match, but something to think about.

After the clusterfuck of whats going on with BB right now, I'll gladly pay a few dollars more to stay away from them.

Yeah, I was looking at some of the negative reviews, too, but I don't think I saw any complaints of substance. Unless the manufacturer sent out great copies to the reviewers and horrible copies to everyone else, I'd take the word of DVDBeaver and BluRay.com over random Amazon users who may not have their systems set up right, or bought a bootleg set from a third party seller, or are just plain crazy.

I'll likely buy the Sherlock Holmes set as well - 14 remastered films plus extras for $34.99 sounds pretty damn good, even if I only watch them all once.

Edit: Especially as Netflix only carries the DVDs.

If your plan is to resell them after working through the set ... sure. Otherwise I'm not sure that buying any film with the plan of just watching them once makes a whole lot of sense. YMMV.

So you never go to the movies, then? Since you'd be paying to see the film just the once and all.

I don't plan on only watching them once, I'm just saying that if I do, it'll still be worth $34.99 to view 15 enjoyable Sherlock Holmes films on Blu-ray.

OK - for those that are drooling over the (supposed) Indiana Jones and Bond prices from Amazon coming up - what were the actual prices?

Well, if I paid to bring the movie reels home with me - you might have a point.

Since they are still "coming up" ... how would anyone be able to verify the prices?

No one has invented time travel to the past yet, as far as we know. The sets don't go on sale until 11/24.

As for Amazon's leak, the next three weeks are the most critical time of the year for their sales and profitability. Every dollar someone spends at another retailer is a dollar they don't spend at Amazon. You can bet that Amazon's marketing team, which is obsessed with following viral social networks, is carefully crafting the public release of prices. Amazon did not become the world's biggest Internet retailer playing the game with its head in the sand.

When are they supposed to be "coming up"? I can't see the details of that post from behind my firewall at work, and have only seen obtuse references to this "deal".

There's only references made to the prices being launched at a specific time on 11/24.
