I believe this pricing error has been corrected already.

I went to a Best Buy in NYC yesterday morning & I pulled it up on their computer, which reflected the 99 cent price. I was able to add it to my cart (still at 99 cents), but that item wasn't available to ship... and there was NO store in a 75 mile radius that had it in stock, according to the site. I even checked stores around Philly & Baltimore, where I have other family members living. Nothing. So without the item able to ship, the only chance you had was finding a store that had it in stock... which didn't seem to exist.

I left the computer to browse for something else but went back a short time later to try one other thing... this was like 15 minutes later. The Monterey Pop Blu-ray still showed up on the Best Buy computer for 99 cents, but when I tried adding it to my cart this time it showed up as $50. So the problem was most likely being fixed in the Best Buy system the exact time I was there-- this was a little before noon yesterday.

So anyway, long story short, this "deal" now seems to be DEAD. You're lucky if you were able to locate a copy & take advantage of it!

The price goes back and forth like that. Keep checking it and it'll go back to the $0.99 price. It happened to me yesterday.

I checked tonight and it does indeed look to be dead. No matter what I did the price was at the normal higher price for both Criterions and also other BDs that were reported at discounts as well. Not only that but Jimi Plays is no longer even available for order.

Nice deal for those who got it. Personally I got the complete Monterey Pop for $11 during a previous BN sale when they let you use multiple coupons (used 4 :)), but now some people got these for $1.98. Oh well.

I just went back to look for the other BDs listed here and the system wasn't working hardly at all. When I tried to search for anything, or click on any links, it was as if the page was trying to load twice, two different pages at the same time, but on top of one another. I tried over and over, got employees to try, had them restart the system from the very start, and they finally decided it was a store wide problem since all of their computers were doing the same thing. It was just a huge glitch, and you couldn't navigate any screens at all hardly.

In the middle of it I did finally get it to search for Shine a Light, and I saw it for the $0.99 price, but because of the glitching I couldn't place any sort of order. I may go back after work tonight to see if it got fixed.

You can't order Jimmi Plays at all anymore, and while you can order Monterey you can only do in store pick up, and it shows unavailable at every store within 100 miles. That doesn't mean that some of those stores can't have it, but you can't place any order for it through the system since they show up as unavailable. I was able to see that they were back at $0.99 though, when they weren't yesterday. How wacky.

My experience is that this deal has been posted to several different sites and copies are exceedingly rare in stores now, unless it was misfiled where it shouldn't have been placed.

Yup, the 99 cent prices only show up if you use the computers that are set up inside Best Buy stores to search for inventory. Searching their regular website just gives you the normal inflated prices.

I was there a few hours ago, no Help. Did a search on blu-rays arranged by price low to high, and saw nothing cheaper than $3.99.

Again, if anyone can get an extra Monterey blu for me, I'll pay $10 for it.

None of them will ever show up if you search for them that way. I'm not sure why it is, but when you do that they are sorted by their list price, not the $0.99. Sorting them like that is the first thing I did as well.

To find the ones I've posted, I had to go to movies, BDs, music genre, and scan through all 800 or so page after page of 50 each page, and just try to catch them as I scanned by.

For what it's worth, if your store doesn't have a customer kiosk, if you go to the customer service desk and tell them you'd like them to place an order for you, their system should also show up at the discounted price as well and as long as the employee is honest they should be able to order it for you just as we can do on the customer kiosk.

I tried a few of these I store today. Put them in the cart bt when I tried to order they switched to the regular price. Four times.

There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason as to why it will sometimes show the list price and then other times show the $0.99 price. One trick that also seems to work is that if you just let the system be without touching it at all for a while, it eventually changes to a page with a counter saying you'll be logged out in 30 seconds. Wait for that to pop up, wait for the countdown, and it'll then take you back to the main "Customer Kiosk" page. Each time I have noticed the high price was listed when I went to check (which, to be honest, has only happened to me twice), doing this worked just fine. Maybe it was a coincidence, I don't know, but there ya go.

I just successfully placed an order in-store. Many of the titles are sold out, not available for shipping or backordered.

My cousin just confirmed with me that he ordered one of almost everything at the customer service desk at his store since his customer kiosk was down.

Got there when the doors opened yesterday and ordered a few titles. I have nearly all of the BD's on the list, so I picked up a few for a couple of family members who I knew would like them. Just checked my email and got a shipping notification on all of them.
