For the first time in my life, I hit a $T that wasn't very picked out. Of course, they were out of Bull Durham, the one I wanted.

#1 score which I already have is the Bloom County/Opus Wish For Wings That Work TV Special on DVD.

No, it's an arthouse movie made for very eccentric tastes. But it's a buck and can be flipped very easily if you don't like it.

It's actually not bad for what it is. Minimalist indie/art house, the entire cast were not professional actors and a lot of improvised dialogue. I may be a bit biased though as a friend of mine did the soundtrack.

Glad Bubble is good, as I bought 3 DVD & 1 blu based on what they're listed at on Amazon before I saw how low they are on ebay. I suspect I'll end up getting stuck with all 4, unless I sell the blu for next to nothing. The dvd is selling for less than ebay/PayPal fees + shipping.

^The movie was OOP and was selling for some decent money before this stock turned up at Dollar Tree. If you hang onto them for a while, it's probably still not getting a new pressing, so value could rise again.

A whole batch of new supply appeared across the country at this Dollar Tree sale. It's not coming back into print, so you might have to wait a bit to see any real gains.

Local store put BluRays out. Nothing that hasn't been reported (except Exodus?), but a few comments on the digital versions.

I initially tried to redeem the digital copy of Counselor using Vudu, where it failed. But it worked fine at Movies Anywhere, and so did all the rest of these Fox movies (all HD, though the digital version of Walking lost 3D):

I believe Fox stopped giving UV rights for their digital codes. Now it's either Movies Anywhere or nothing.

That is exactly what transpired for FOX titles distributed by FOX. Some titles distributed by FOX belong to other studios. Those other studios codes may offer UV, UV/MA, MA, single service redeem (allows redeem only on that service like VUDU, iTunes, etc without UV, MA, or UV/MA), or no redeem at all.

Found the unrated version of Robocop on Blu-ray. Seems to have almost all of the Criterion's release extras.

Visited 3 DTs during this sale and came up with 7 blu buys: Let's Be Cops; Parental Guidance; Counselor; Police Story Lockdown; Hitman Agent 47; Walking with Dinosaurs; & Mao's Last Dancer. Not bad, IMO.
