I just went to lunch with a coworker. Afterward, she asked if I minded running in with her to Dollar Tree to pick up something. I took the opportunity to look at movies and was pretty surprised at one item I picked up. I got Survival of the Dead on Blu-ray and Philadelphia on UHD. Each one rang up for a buck. It's hard to pass up a movie that good on 4k for only a dollar. I don't recall seeing anyone report finding any UHDs previously, but I don't always come in here. Part of me thought it was probably a mistake, but the manager rang it up for a dollar.

Finding a 4k title is very rare. Nice score!

I stopped by 2 stores today and wasn't too excited about what I found. Ended up buying a few DVDs.

Yea, have read and seen youtube videos by chance show any 4k by chance. for some or many it kinda like scoring gold anytime now days. since i think they get media at warehouse and just put a mix of it togehter and send it on pallets to stores any or fill boxes and toss into trucks any to drop with rest of stuff anytime. so it nice to score gold ahead of anyone at time. so i feel lucky i score any blu ray combo with dvd and thought a movie wanted was dvd and since like the cast i snag it then read side or saw top and notice blu ray so scored a blu single for a buck so not bad lol. guessing once i get a blu ray player any since budget tight i be get more blu ray by chance and just keep getting combo with dvd as well.

Went in today to get a sympathy card and they had a well-picked-over display of dvd and blu-ray. Mostly the same stuff as last time and a lot of kid-oriented titles. I got a couple of dvds I'll post in that thread.

One of the reasons I wish people would get vaxxed & Covid would go away is I miss the frequent trips to $t & BL. It isn't worth the risk these days unless I already need to be there for something. I largely limit my exposure to grocery stores & medical apts that must be in person

Covids never going away and the vaxxed are getting covid just as fast as non vaxxed. As soon as people start to talk about everything opening up a new 'variant' appears and remember you need a booster for the Vax otherwise it only lasts about 8 months.

The "En El Corazon Del Mar" Blu-ray is the BD release of In the Heart Of The Sea from Mexico (shows the Mexican RTC film rating, "B", on back cover). Digital copy code inside does not work

Probably the most interesting thing I came across - Olive Films' DVD release for the Jaclyn Smith movie Deja Vu. Never seen anything from them in Dollar Tree waves.

A bit bummed that one of the DT B&M stores I frequent now has significantly less BDs & DVDs than they used to.

I can only guess if not as many blu rays as past waves is cause dvd are more mass made anytime. or some or many who hit stores snag all blu rays to collect or resell anytime. that is what i guessing. sometimes i try combos anytime but skip this wave cause budget and other crap gotta deal with first.

On the road and I stopped in a Dollar Tree for some other things. Found a smattering of DVDs and BDs on an endcap.

Picked up a couple I had never seen before (either at a DT or as movies in general).

The thing is I checked around several different locations and mostly found these same titles. That Live By Night must have been way overproduced by Warner, I see it everywhere.
