Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Happened to be at a Dollar Tree so took a look, ended up picking up Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie and Bronson Triple Threat Collection (Death Wish 2-4, I've never even seen a Death With movie, but hard to pass up 3 for $1).
Saw a few other titles but nothing else that piqued my interest, I think I saw Adventures At The Chocolate Factory, Into the Ashes, Live By Night and a couple others I don't remember.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

A new wave is supposed to be out Friday. I hit 3 stores today and two seemed to have some new movies, one had just recently put them out front.

Picked up The Standoff at Sparrow Creek (w/ slip), The Dead Lands (w/ slip), The Secret of NIMH, and Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (w/ DVD and digital).

Also saw, but didn't get: American Dresser, Bel Canto, Trick (w/ slip), Unbroken: Path to Redemption (with digital, in a Walmart slip)

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

My store just put out theirs as I was walking in this morning. It was 99.9% DVD, and I didn't even see any new DVD titles.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

I popped by a store that usually puts movies out early and found the following Blu-Rays.

I only picked up: The Dead Lands (with slipcover), Critters Attack! (with slipcover) and Rampant. I almost picked up Friday the 13th until I realized it was the remake so I passed. I'll hit the rest of my local stores tomorrow morning.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Lots of repeats but First Love and Cheap Thrills are new. Cheap Thrills for a buck is a HELL of a deal. Great film.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

I had to make a mini-road trip for other reasons today. Stopped by 5 stores as I went along. 2 had massive amounts of new stuff--one on the front table, another a separate shelf in the store. Incidentally, 2 stores had their front table (and signage) indicating the item of the week was books.

Here's what I picked up today:

BDs
World Series 2018 (Red Sox)
World Series 2019 (Nationals)
The Attack
Bel Canto
Dead Lands
Flatliners (original)
John Dies at the End
Red vs. Blue: Season 11
Romeo & Juliet (Steinfield/Booth)
Secret of NIMH
Survival of the Dead
Unlikely Heroes
Winnie
Zen of Bennett

DVDs
Bates Motel: Season 2 (own it from a previous DT haul, I think)
Batman Triple Feature (Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero / Batman vs. Dracula / Batman Superman Movie)
Batman & Scooby Doo Double Feature
David Spade: Take the Hit
Days that Shook the World: Season 2 (BBC)
Fenway Park: 100 Years at the Heart of Red Sox Nation
Galveston
Greatest NFL Rivalries: Bears Defeat Packers (3 complete games)
Hey Dude: Season 1
Roller Derby Chronicles (a 3-disc set with some kind of decorative piece strapped to it)
The Rolling Stones - Live in Texas '78: Some Girls (DVD/CD)

I'm happy with all the unique finds. And i probably saw another 2-3 dozen different BDs, maybe more, that I either owned from previous waves or the reviews led me to leaving those for others.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Nice. One store near me had books up front and two others had ‘award winning’ solar lights. The BL next to one it still wanted full price for all their BD’s. Picked up ‘Fried Green Tomatoes’ BD with DC for $2.99 at the Goodwill store across

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Trick is a fine slasher for horror heads. That only came out about 17 months ago. Distributors are dumping titles faster to Dollar Tree than the old days.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Still seems like a somewhat unexciting selection compared to last year. Only a few that I have interest in or don't have already.

Found a lot of DC animated DVDs, another copy of the Warner Brothers Academy nominated animated shorts and That's My Man (Don Ameche) on Blu-ray.

I saw Batman:The Killing Joke on DVD as well, but passed figuring it didn't come with a digital copy. Did it include digital?
