Re: Apparently U&S is back on October 7th
Stopped by BB today and first thing is that the movies are still separated for now. When they convert it will take a little getting use to, but I don't see it being a big problem. I've wanted them to combine their music cd's for years now. It would be great to see all the movies in alpha order except for Childrens/Family/Kids. So today for $4.99 I bought:
Expendables
Friday the 13th uncut
Incredible Hulk
Total Recall MBE
Friday the 13th killer cut
The store was sold out of Red Dawn. I'm hoping Prometheus will be on sale on Black Friday. Just one more thing, I checked my receipt for the dvd's I turned in and there was not an expiration date on them. I'm grateful I was helped by a cashier and manager that took my old coupon.

Re: Apparently U&S is back on October 7th
I don't mind the combined DVD and Blu-Rays (I guess it makes sense) but at least 75% of the blu-rays in our store didn't have prices. I wasn't going to figure out how to check each one that I was interested in (looking for a $10 or $15 title to use upgrade and save) and only found two $10 titles that I was mildly interested in purchasing. They don't do upgrade and save at customer service but referred me to the video game section. Nobody was there and I finally gave up and got nothing...

I did see the 3d HUGO for $19.99 ($14.99 with U&S) but I had just purchased a used copy from Amazon for about the same price.

Picked up the ET Digibook ($19.99) and Fight Club (4.99) after using two coupons. Fight Club came with $10 movie cash for Taken 2, which I offered to a friend and he gave me $5 for it. So it was technically free after the trade.

Are most of the $9.99 (before coupon) titles on sale next week as well? I'm not going to get to a store before early next week. I'm mostly interested in The Lincoln Lawyer and perhaps Fight Club (if it has movie cash as well, like Randy described)

The only way I know to check prices other than going in with a list of what you want to buy from Bestbuy.com is to use the instore kiosk to check prices. I wish they'd just put a price scanner around or at least expand the number of customer kiosks b/c their price stickers are nearly worthless for knowing what the price is.

Re: Apparently U&S is back on October 7th
Had them PM Target on Prometheus 3-D then did U&S but the girl did it at 23.99 instead of 22.99 (probably my fault for saying $23.00 instead of $22.99)
But still 18.99 is pretty good for a 3D new release.
Also the lady gave me the upgrade and save receipt and didn't cross anything off, does this mean I can use it again or do they tie down the barcode on that or something?

Are you kidding? or is this a serious question?
How would they know you are re-using the receipt unless you feel needlessly guilty for doing it. C'mon .. think it through!!!
Hmmm, apparently my stores haven't changed anything. If I understand you guys right, they've now mixed DVD's with BD's, and are sorted by genre?!? Thankfully, not by me, at least not yet...
BD's have been alphabetized for ages, with the exception of the few bargain areas ($6.99, $9.99, and $12.99 titles), special endcaps, and 3D titles/children's titles/TV seasons. There is a new release area near the front of the store (a 4-sided rack). I hope my stores don't change. I rarely have problems finding anything. If I can't find what I want in the New Releases, I can usually find it in the aisle, alphabetized...
Anyway, I have another 6-8 discs to trade-in, but am laying low for now. There isn't anything else I want this week, and only one I want next week, but you never know what the future holds.

The store closest to me (the smallest of the 3 I go to) has not integrated the DVDs and BDs, but the other 2 have. Furthermore, those other 2 stores break up the movies by genre, so you have to make sure that not only the BB employee can alphabetize correctly, he can also recognize the correct genre of the movie. I found the Kevin Smith 3-pack under the "J"'s in the Drama section (no not the K's) after looking for it for half an hour. Not only was it the wrong genre, they attempted to alphabetize by the second movie listed in the 3-pack.

The barcode at the top perhaps? I imaging BB's system is more complex than Walgreens and Wag tracks everything through these barcodes.

Well, got ET digibook for $9.99 after coupon and PM, Prometheus 3D for $15 after coupon (local sports team deal) and Primal Fear, Road to Perdition and Dictator (beard edition, will go back next week for price adjustment) for $4.99 each. Most probably done this time around. Picked up Hotel for dogs and ultimate avengers for $4.99 each last week plus Nightmare on Elm st box set for $34.99 (local sports team coupon again).

^ The beard edition is a different SKU, so may not be included in the $9.99 sale price next week. That has happened with their exclusives many times in the past. You might get lucky, but definitely YMMV...

Huh? Target has it for $27.99, BB for $24.99. Why would you need to PM Target? Unless you had them PM the REGULAR release, not the 3D release...

From what I saw, most have tags that don't expire until sometime in November. But we'll know for sure what's still on sale by early tomorrow morning anyhow.
