No slips for the new titles? Doesn't look like it in the picture.

Not on the ones I saw. The Wal-Mart exclusives had stickers on the shrinkwrap, so probably not.

Man I hope at least one Walmart in Memphis gets this. All I care for is Goldeneye and The World Is Not Enough. Don't care to drop $150+ on the whole set.

The set will probably be $99 by this Christmas. I kinda prefer the separate releases as I can just grab that particular movie and not have to re-arrange my whole goddamn house to get to it. Some of these box sets don't have the user in mind. Great for display. Horrible for repeated use.

Not bad, but I take this isn't ALL of the Bond films?

The only ones I'm really interested in are the Connery and Moore films; I would consider picking up all fourteen from that era, but I'd go for the complete box if I can get it for a decent price... though the discs in cardboard sleeves packaging makes me wince.

Weren't they planning to release a blu-ray / dvd set for each movie?

Definitely want Goldeneye, and maybe Tomorrow Never Dies and World is not Enough.

Interesting...didn't hear that. Maybe it was an idea that got scrapped?

There are combo packs of the two Craig films coming out; they are due late October.

Some web sites (including amazon) don't have the cover art up (although they can be pre-ordered). Here are the listings at blu-ray.com:

Casino Royale

Quantum of Solace

The given street date is 10/23.

I now see that Walmart has them available for pre-order. Really hope my local Walmarts have this stand up Tuesday. Mine all suck.

Damn, QoS is rather expensive. Wonder why. I bought it via GoHastings for a lot less. What gives.

I wonder if there's any chance "Never Say Never Again" will come back in print in the near future?

All versions, DVD and blu-ray, are unavailable except from third party sellers at exorbitant prices.

Just checked out Blu-ray auction listings on ebay; there's a copy bid up to $91.00...pretty insane. It's tempting to sell it, but unlike many I actually like this movie. There are several of the EON Bond titles I like less.

I snagged the combo pack when it got cheap at amazon; probably paid about $13-14 for it. It turned out that right after that, it went out of stock and was available only from marketplace sellers from then on.

I had the separate DVD release of the collector's edition but sold it when I got the combo. Probably should have held onto it, but it looks like the BD is getting the really big bucks now.

^ pretty high on Amazon too - http://www.amazon.com/Never-Say-Agai...ay+never+again

I actually have this still sealed. Got it as a free selection at CH. Never seen the movie and wonder if I should keep it or sell it? Never sold on ebay (just buy stuff), but sell on Amazon and like that even though people say Amazon takes a higher percentage. I'm a pretty big Bond fan and had all 13 previous Bond BD releases, but I'm selling them off now since I managed to snag the box set for $124.99 at Best Buy. With the price I paid at Amazon for the individual movies (remember those crazy deals at Amazon a few years back?) I should be able to bring down the price of the box set below $100.
Also wondered if Casino Royale with Woody Allen etc. is worth buying? Never seen that one either. Know it's a spoof, but don't think it is anything like Austin Powers :)

Btw - love the last listing for both new and used on Amazon ($999.99). Support small business :)

Went to East Meadow, NY store. No Bonds, open boxes everywhere. I asked for the manager which took 10 minutes. Manager and asst came over and I asked them why their DVD dept looked like a dump. Guy told me to keep it down. I said I did. I asked him why he allowed the place to look like an Animal House and why the Bonds weren't there. I had to show him the picture the OP put up and a placard at the front of the store. I still kept asking him why the place looked like a dump, is this the impression he wants to give. Got really defensive, never apologised nothing. I left after 40 minutes.

The East Meadow DVD dept is always a mess. Most of the time I've been there, they have full racks of Blu-rays blocked off by carts that you need to move to grab a disc.

At least I know I'm not crazy.....BTW I apologized to the poor woman putting out the discs; I said it wasn't her fault.

I went to Westbury and they had them in the display near the checkout lines.

Target in my area all got one copy (ONE) of each of A View To A Kill, Tomorrow Never Dies, Living Daylights, and License To Kill.

Worse, The Dalton movies were $14.99! Ridiculous!

Make matters worse, they were on an endcap with the first two titles sold out of course.

I got Goldeneye and Octopussy at Wally.
