I hate this sale. It's mis-leading to put 50% when the discount is applied to SRP. I understand they don't want to go 50% off the criterion price, but just advertise it as a 38% off sale or something.

I never said it's falsly advertised, just mis-leading. When the title of my email says: 50% OFF ALL CRITERION!!!!!!, I want to see 50% off the price that is normally listed, the Criterion price.

Why not? You get free shipping and no tax (for most people) and are buying from a company with possibly the best customer service in the industry. I was going to wait for the next B&N sale but considering I have to pay tax, there's no longer a member discount online, and they didn't allow online coupons during the last Criterion 50% off sale, I see no reason to wait. Besides, there are a number of pre-order titles not eligible for this sale so I'll get them at the next B&N sale.

I ordered The Game and Rashomon. 50% off one, but not t'other. $52 total qualified for free shipping and I finally got to use my $35 in certificates.

I placed one order and finally reached 500 dollars for the 50 dollar certificate and they sent the fifty to me immediately. So I did another order. I was thinking of passing on the deal, but this was good that they sent my bonus certificate right away.
But I don't understand why they won't allow back orders I was too late for The Game.

I was pretty happy with this deal. I don't really have the money to throw around on movies right now, but I happened to have $25 from a couple of the Blu-rays I sent to them for replacement. I ended up paying 92 cents for Godzilla Blu-ray. I can handle that. :)

^ I asked that during the last B&N Criterion sale. No one has ever reported seeing one in retail. Someone did say there were still a bunch of digipacks in the closet, seen during one of those "closet raid" videos posted on YouTube.

I was having a crappy day yesterday, so I decided to splurge (for me). Got:

* The Lady Vanishes

I'm actually fine with the old Criterion Hitchcock DVD set, but since I'm in a Hitchcock Blu-Ray mood (waiting for the pretty UK Blu set to release), I figured why not.
