I don't think it's the same. I should check though.

I can't decide if I want to get this or not. Wondering what the likelihood this'll be cheaper on Black Friday.

Re: Target -- Marvel's The Avengers 3D Combo Pack with Bonus Disc for $19.99

My Target had the sign up, and they had a place on the shelf in multiple places for this combo pack, but they didn't have a single one anywhere in the store although they had a boatload of the other versions. They claim that while they received the other versions, they didn't receive any of these combo packs. A part of me suspects that they are flat out lying just so they don't have to honor the discount. I know that isn't likely, but I couldn't help but feel that way. They told me to check back each day and they may show up on the FedEx truck eventually. I call B.S. until I walk in and see it on the shelf.

No recalls. The target ad stated a blu+dvd+digital copy. Well target doesn't have that version. So, they compensated by making the 3d version which also has a digital copy for 19.99.

It does seem the Target drones are giving out confusing misinformation. I would not trust a single Target worker you don't have a personal relationship with about the 3D combo, many of them simply don't know or don't care what is going on with the Avengers. The location I visited this morning around 11 AM before lunch, still had about 40 of the 3D exclusive left.

Re: Target -- Marvel's The Avengers 3D Combo Pack with Bonus Disc for $19.99

There are a couple Targets near me, and they are vastly different in their organization and stock of movies/games. Thankfully, the better one is on my way to work. Picked up the last copy at the registers (at 9am) and was out in minutes. Just realized it has a different slipcover (vs the standard 3D) - I like it much better!

Having opened it, I really don't mind the stacking discs. Not a scratch on them, and every bit of shelf space saved is a plus.

The warped, crunched Ed Wood eco-case (with punctured cover) I received recently bothered me a lot more.

Well, it turns out it is the same UPC number. Since Target doesn't have the lenticular cover, I guess I have to swap slipcovers, peel off the sticker indicating the bonus disc, then return the unopened Amazon copy with Target slipcover to Target for $21 credit and keep the Target copy with the bonus disc, with the Amazon lenticular cover, then see if I can get a refund on the Best Buy deposit and yet still keep the steelbook.
That seems kind of slimey, but if it works, I'll get the four disc set, the bonus disc, the lenticular cover and the steelbook for the low, low price of $14.99 (and a little bit of my soul).
Epic deal, if it works out.

But my Target only had no 3D combos, and only blu+dvd+digital copys.

My local Target was also missing the 3D combos even though there was tons of space for them. I doubt they all sold before I got there. They only had the blu+dvd version. I don't believe that version came with a digital copy which is why they were substituting the 3D version in the first place...which was mysteriously "sold out".

The Blu+DVD Combo doesn't come with a digital copy.

Re: Target -- Marvel's The Avengers 3D Combo Pack with Bonus Disc for $19.99

I paid a visit to the Target around the corner from my office on my lunch hour today and couldn't find a single 3-D copy on the shelf. When I asked an employee, he remarked that they were sold out throughout the region. Uh, whatever...

I see nothing wrong with doing that. Heck, half the time Target don't even have decent slipcovers on their movies and technically they are selling this one.

Re: Target -- Marvel's The Avengers 3D Combo Pack with Bonus Disc for $19.99

Target in Bellevue, NE received 46 copies. All Target stores in the Omaha metro were sold out as of 7:30pm. I was given a rain check. Will probably purchase from Bestbuy using reward points if product not in stores by this weekend.
NFM sold out as well with a $22,98 price point, there system says earliest product will be available is October - no date,

The documentary also has English/Spanish/French/Portuguese subtitles... which I love to see.

Agreed. I thought the documentary was very good. Well worth $5.

All I wanted was the damn bonus disc, but my Target was completely sold out of every version of the blu-ray. They had a ton of the single disc crappy dvds though. Maybe alll these out of work folks hoarded to flip on Ebay, I guess. Really stinks though.

I've only watched the initial segment and the Iron Man part and so far it's the best extra of the package and it's a shame that everyone isn't getting it. The main extras are mostly fluff and Whedon's commentary wasn't as good as I'd hoped, but the Building the Cinematic Universe disc is cool.

Re: Target -- Marvel's The Avengers 3D Combo Pack with Bonus Disc for $19.99

Luckily I found one yesterday afternoon after the first Target I went to was sold out, and told me which other one to check. I got to the second store (after calling and asking the clerk to hold one) and they said I was getting the last one that wasn't put back for pre-orders.

Took me 3 Different Targets before finding a 3D copy. And this was between noon and two. Either these Targets are poorly stocked on the 3D versions, or something shady is going on.

Well, no Targets in Vermont. sucks. But, I just ordered the 4 disc version from Amazon for $19.99 and the Target bonus disc from Ebay for about $8 buy it now. Probably equals out with tax and gas if I had to drive to upstate NY or NH...

There were about twenty copies when I hit our local Target at 10 AM but by the time I left they were all gone. Glad I picked one up on the way in!

I went back to the same Target last night and they were not only sold out of the 3D version, they were sold out of the 2D version. Madness.
