Keep in mind that these are the low-grade "Echo Bridge" versions of the films. Both "The Lookout" (an excellent film) and "Supercop 3" are cropped from their original 2:35 aspect ratio to 1:78. I almost pulled the trigger on "The Lookout" until I checked out the reviews of this release.

If you're going to get The Lookout, buy the Echo Bridge double feature release with The Yards. IIRC, it's not cropped.

damn !! why the fcuk do they do that ? didnt realize that the edition praised sky high on blu-ray.com was the original Buena Vista release...this one does show the recropping. will return it to store upon receiving. need my screen's worth

I wasn't aware either. I only got The Crow, however. Jesus, can't a person just buy a fucking title without having to do rocket research. Echo Bridge is a shitwad company.

EDIT: I canceled my order for The Crow: City of Angels.

The Action Six Pack is the better deal...

The Lookout and Equilibrium are proper AR with DTS-HD MA 5.1 sound.

Supercop is still cropped but has the proper DTS-HD MA 5.1 track created for the Dimension release.

I received 'The Lookout' y'day - it is NOT the Echo Bridge release but the original Miramax/Buena Vista 2007 release with the 2.40:1 AR. The UPC is a stickered one that goes 0-96009-01681-4 - a lookup on Google with this UPC points to the EB release but am confirming what I received is NOT. I was about to return the package even w/o opening it since I was so sure it would be the EB release (for the $3.99 price) - but BB came thru with a surprise this time. The original Miramax BD release has spectacular reviews on blu-ray.com

Just got mine, and it was the 2007 release also! Score!!!

I decided to get the single disc Echo Bay release because it was cheap and I wanted the commentary. I would have paid triple if I knew I was getting this!
