We have Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City also and the price in the ad for the 3D version is $19.97. I thought that was really low. I plan a price match today at Best Buy.

Don't forget the BB coupon, making the total 14.97.

Yup. I bought the new DMB album today and couldn't figure out where the $3 promotional credit came from. That explains it, as my copy of Titanic 3D just arrived this morning.

The forum members at Blu-ray.com confirmed that the $5 coupon also scans on the 2D combo set. So if you don't want the 3D set, you're not out of luck.

Sweet!

In addition to Amazon charging me just $21.99 for the Titanic 3D set, I just received the email that I qualified for the $3 promotional credit, which is now in my account.

Did it require the cashier to hit the Override button?

I'd expect the $3 credit to be given to everyone whose order ships... even to those few who were lucky enough to get Amazon to give an extra $5 off manually even though technically Amazon's $26.99 - $3 price was already lower than BB's $29.99 - $5 coupon price. I didn't even try asking Amazon since I'm wary about bugging them too often, especially for YMMV things where there's really no legitimate PM reason since $23.99 < BB's in-store price after coupon. Amazon should've only given $2 off instead $5.

However, while already at Walmart this morning, I asked if they'd PM BB's $24.99 AND take the $5 coupon on top of it, they studied the ad and then said OK, so I canceled my Amazon order to save a few bucks. Sure, $24.99 + tax - $5 is not as good as the $18.99 w/o tax that you got, but it's not that big of a difference. I'm far more upset having seen so many 3D BDs that I bought in the high teens go on sale at Gohastings for $7 each... and I totally missed all of them. If Gohastings is going to keep doing this, it almost makes me never want to buy another new BD (2D or 3D) over $10. I bet in a few months someone will manage to get a used Titanic 3D BD for $7 + 96c shipping from Gohastings, but Gohastings' inventory is too YMMV for me.

Re: Best Buy Ad 09/09 - 09/15/12

Got 3D set for 19.99 at Target. Price matched to Best Buy for the 24.99 price and then she applied the $5 coupon. I pointed out to her that the BB price was 24.99 after the coupon. She replied "Well, I already rang it up this way."

Okay then. Fine by me!

Will be buying Spartacus: Vengeance on BR and using $10 girft card earned last week.

Need to see if I can find another $25 TV set to buy, to earn another $10 GC.

Re: Best Buy Ad 09/09 - 09/15/12

picked up Spartacus & Castle + $10 gc($50 tv promo) for $36.50 after $10 gift code from the online promo and $10 Castle coupon

then bought Snow White & the Huntsman steelbook for $8.34 after the above $10 gift card and $3 Universal coupon

Luckily I got there around 10:30 as there were only six copies of the Snow White steelbook left on the shelves and of those six, only two were not damaged. As in crushed around the front top area(behind where the cardboard flap hangs in front) so bad the top portion of the steelbooks were bulging upwards.

For those using the $5 coupon at Best Buy, make sure it really takes the $5 off. The coupon scanned for me but did not take the $5 off. Had to go to Customer Service to get it adjusted.

Re: Best Buy Ad 09/09 - 09/15/12

Bought some TV titles today. Here's a tip for anyone trying to reach the $50 or $100 plateau, but can't find anything else they want. Just buy the cheapest qualifying set, then return it later. They pro-rate, so you don't want to go far over the limit. For instance, I was buying $84.97 in TV titles. I grabbed a $15.99 set I didn't want so that I reached $100.96. I will then return that set later. So I got the $25 GC, and will lose only a small $3.96 when I return the item. I still get to keep $21.04, much better than the $10 I would have got otherwise.

Re: Best Buy Ad 09/09 - 09/15/12

Was able to use the coupon for 3D Titanic at NFM in Omaha to get the $14.97 price - $16.18 total after taxes. Thanks to everyone for the heads up on the coupon and the deal at NFM. I had almost forgotten this title was coming out this week, and I had just visited the Titanic exhibit in Kansas City over Labor Day weekend.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but did you do this successfully?
