Silent House probably doesn't warrant a purchase, but I thought Elizabeth Olsen was amazing in MMMM and her reviews in this are just as strong, so for $14.99 I'll grab it.
Thanks OP.

Hopefully Amazon will match that $54.99 Trek price, not realizing it says "with coupon". I already have a Gold Box order for it. But I'm not sure if I'm willing to buy it for that price anyway... Kinda expensive for an upgrade... Depends on the extras, I guess...

LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS is $9.99 before coupon at Best Buy through July 21. Looks like the price will be $14.99 pre-coupon beginning July 22.

thats a good price on star trek. you can't compare star trek to other tv series... even at its rock bottom lowest $40-$50 a season on dvd was the best you could do.

Damn, I may have to find another DVD to unload to get that TNG price.

I saw Silent House in theatres and honestly it's good for only 1-time viewing. It's a decent and somewhat creepy horror flick, but IMO has zero replay value after seeing it once. Rent it if you haven't seen it.

Going to pick up Star Trek: TNG and Boss.
I don't own any of the TNG DVD sets and $54.99 with the coupon is the best price for that set so far. I have to assume that Amazon might match the $59.99 price.
For anyone who hasn't seen Boss, it's a solid blind buy for $17.99. Kelsey Grammar is awesome in that show. FYI, it's only 8 episodes.

BTW, thanks Big Jim for posting an actual ad. Those lame ass Examiner cutouts suck.

Great actress and really pretty. Besides, I don't want to watch many of the movies that I have that much, but I do buy a % of films that I know people will want to see when they come over.
Scary movies are always popular with our friends, so I'm sure will get asked to watch this over Halloween. Two viewings in 3 months is two more times than I've watched The Reader in the last 12 months.

I wish they still had bonus discs though, like the DVD's all did.

Star Trek DVDs always defied the conventional pricing wisdom that even HBO - the former kings of gouging on prices - stopped resisting because they knew the nerds would cough up the way people with girlfriends wouldn't/couldn't. This is why I pounced on the TOS BDs when Beast Buy had them for $40 because that sort of "reasonable" price was unlikely to become the norm.
One factor that sort of makes the high prices of these TNG sets a bit more defensible is that the TOS sets were made up from the episodes that we also being syndicated as "Star Trek Remastered" (or whatever) while TNG is going straight to BD w/o a parallel TV run AND unlike TOS which was mostly about a smattering of new FX shots, TNG had to be basically run through the entire post-production process because NOTHING of the original masters was usable since it was all posted to SD tape in the Eighties. When you look at it this way, $55 is a bit of a bargain, not that we have to be happy about it.

I've never done the $5 trade in thing before so I have a couple of questions.
I knows individual store policies may vary, but in general:
1. Do you just take the DVD you are trading in up to the service counter (where you do in-store pick-ups, etc.) prior to checking out to get the coupon first?
2. Do they require the entire package or only the DVD disc?
3. Can you trade in any DVD or only the one that you're getting a blu-ray of?
4. Can you trade in multiple DVDs on the same visit and get multiple coupons?
5. If you have mutliple coupons can you use them all on the same purchase/same receipt as long as you are only using one coupon per title purchased (i.e. 2 coupons used buying 2 separate blu-rays)?
Thank you to all who help.

2. Entire package (has to have UPC).
3. Any DVD (except porn).
4. Up to 5 per visit.
5. Yes, but it may be up to 5 coupons only per transaction. I've never had more than 5 at one time, so YMMV.

You can bring the DVDs to Customer Service directly and exchange them for the coupons. Or you can usually have the DVDs stickered at the front door, search for your blus, and then bring everything to Customer Service. The CS folks can then do the exchange and ring you up in one transaction.

I'll agree that you can't compare Trek to other series. But I actually paid under $25 for ALL of my Trek DVD season sets for EACH series (Original, TNG, DS9, Voyager at B&N combining sale/coupon/membership, Enterprise at Suncoast on a price glitch), all brand new, in-store (mainly at B&N I believe)... But I don't think the Original series seasons ever went below $40 on BD, so I doubt TNG will either... $50 (after $10 coupon to use later) sounds like a plan to me...
I wish they still had bonus discs though, like the DVD's all did.
